Default Pricing question

Hey Guys......I'm back..lol.......took a 3 year hiatus after selling my c6 gs, and I'm going tomorrow to put a downstroke on an inbound stingray......I've been searching all over...kbb.com isn't up to date and all the other pricing sites are plain wrong.......base 1lt, with transparent roof option....that's it. Black 7 speed. Dealership will sell it to me for 2% over invoice. This is florida so in my mind it's a fair deal....my question is what is invoice on these cars....can't seem to find a current number anywhere. Sticker is $56,990.00....can someone help me out

Go to the Sticky in the C7 General Discussion thread. There are 2 threads, one to price a 2014 and the next to price a 2015. Open the spreadsheet and enter the options your car has and it should give you a pretty close number to list and MSRP.

Find a dealer that will honor Credit Union pricing. It's worth somewhere between 8-9 % off MSRP. Hard to find a dealership that can offer a better deal IMHO.

I think this prices on the spreadsheet are old. Chevy lists the base price of a 1lt couple at $55,995. The transparent roof is $995.00.... $56,990.00 is the msrp of the car. That would indicate that the prices on the sheet must be old because the spread sheet shows the base at 53k.....I can't find a website that has the current price AND invoice amount of the car.....I know I got the right msrp from chevy.....this is the first time I've not easily been able to find the invoice price of any car I've looked for......strange..

Yes, Tell the dealer you want GMS price which is the same as Credit Union pricing. It's available everywhere. Get the facts and then go back to your dealer.

You may want to check Les Stanford, they have GM Employee Pricing which is probably the lowest price that you can find:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-anybody.html

Good luck!

You can go to this website:
https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/

Choose whether it will be the GM Employee or GM Supplier, it will tell you exactly what the MSRP, discount and your final price.

The GM Employee pricing is better than GM Supplier and probably the best that you can find anywhere at this moment.

Hope that helps!

Remember to look at not just % of mark-up over "cost", but "cost" less 3% holdback to get to somewhere near actual dealer cost (minus other incentives).

Of course all this goes sideways with a car still selling as well as the Stingray, which is still selling at or near MSRP at a good many Chevy stores...

Good luck...

Problem is as u said....car is still selling great.......autonation only has one 7speed.....and it's in transit. Biggest chain in the country...If I was going to build a car it would have been this inbound black coupe. Prices in Fl are notoriously higher then most other states....the weather..ya know? Lol.....I don't mind paying 2% over invoice for the exact car I want....I just need to know what invoice is.

I think it's much easier for u guys in cold weather states to buy any sports car at the perfect price, ESPECIALLY in the winter..

All I can suggest is to do as many others on this forum (including me) have done and that is to BUY OUT OF STATE. In my case, when all was done I saved over $10,000 off MSRP (and that during mid 2014 when most were not discounting). The internet is a wonderful tool, I would encourage taking advantage. Bottom line, even if you have to pay shipping on an in stock car several states away, you can still save thousands. Why do it any other way?

Ahh, bless u Mike Just what i needed.....costs me 53k out the door......like I said, I can live w 1k over invoice.....nbd this is Florida.....paying cash, so they make nothing on the back end....for me with my trade it's easier to buy in the neighborhood..just me...we're all different. I can see a 10k discount on a 70+k car although I gotta tell you lie2me, that is one smoking deal......where I live, and given that this is only year 2, a thousand dollars over invoice on a 56k car is fine...and better then what most down here are paying.....

BTW, it's GREAT to have you (and your avatar) back, Steve! As another CF old timer who recently made the switch from C6 to C7, I'm pleased to tell you that you're going to absolutely love your new Stingray. Congrats and welcome back!

Wow--$53000 for a C7! Great price. Don't tell my wife you can get one for that now.

You will LOVE this car (and fly like an eagle!)
