Default Boston- Nuff Snow

7' of snow in past 3 weeks and -3F this AM. C7 stuck in my garage on batt tender for a month + Snuck into driveway today to warm it up only to pull it back into the garage. Roads way to narrow to venture out- I'll stick to my 4x4 for now.

Both My Mom and Dad's family were from Boston. Both families moved to Calif. around the same time frame. Mom's side to northern Ca. Dads side to So.Cal

One thing that Dad was pretty adamant about, was that he would never go back. He would never shovel snow again.

Dad passed in 2010. He was 96. Mom passed in 2012. She was 93. They were married 74 years, and he never had to shovel snow ever.

Nice car feel your pain here in Plymouth Massachusetts we got 18 more inches yesterday and tomorrow saying 6-8 more inches.Worst winter ever up here for one month of snow we will be lucky to have all this snow melt sometime in April wishful thinking that is!

Got 12/22/14 will be able to drive again sometime in April or May I hope because of the unusual amounts of snow, salt and sand this year!

Personally I like the cold weather, except for the Vette being stuck inside. It's only 3 months, and it gives me time to get all the inside projects done. Don't forget, in a few months we will be outside cruising around, and the southerners will be stuck inside with the air cond at full throttle

Strange weather patterns this year. We're having an extremely mild winter for us. I haven't even bothered to switch to my A/S tires. Although today the stock Michelins were having significant problems on the wet pavement with the temperature at 23 degrees.

At the current rate snow storms keep coming and the lack of above freezing temperatures forecast for anytime soon, once everything melts, which might not be until mid to late April, you'll be lucky if the roads are repaired to the point they aren't tire & rim killers before June.
Although we haven't had as much snow as Mass., we still have had about 3.5', and with the brutal cold since about Jan. 5th, our roads look like Iraq's after a US bombing campaign.

My home town. Feel bad for you guys.
Must be all that global warming.

They are naming winter storm now. Nor'easters in the western Atlantic are basically hurricanes that form outside the June-November time frame. Some of them become warm core storms and they are the real "monstahs".

I usually drive my car all winter, assuming the roads are dry. The roads haven't really been dry in months. So sad. I miss my car. Even if the roads were dry, there's not much traction to be found when it's 2 degrees out.

I do feel for all of you that have been slammed by the winter storms this year. Seems like one hits just about every other day.

We got our first measurable snowfall yesterday (about 3-4") and I think that is enough, but I can't imagine having to deal with 7' of the stuff in a short period of time.

Hope things get better weather wise and spring comes early.

And nice looking car the OP has.

Well for those freezing there butts off up north and drooling at there C7's sitting in the garage I took this vid today using the PDR (pretty lousy picture quality IMO) of a nice drive along the ocean on Jupiter island. While FL has some really lousy roads for a cruise there are some benefits of living down here, February weather, roof off, cruising along the ocean.

Hope this warms you all up.
