I'm about 10 days into C7 ownership (replacing my 2005 C6) and so far have noticed just two things missing vs the C6:
- CD player
- The dim amber cabin or console light shining down from the sun visor area
Of course, there's a lot of upgraded or really nifty new stuff.
But, what else is missing, particularly from the standard equipment?
Added to the list based on replies:
- Rear hatch pull-down
- Fog lights
- Under hood light
And I've also noticed:
- 2nd under-deck storage area in the right rear (battery there now)
- Power steering fluid reservoir (C7 has electric power assist)
Rear hatch electronic pull down. I miss that. I could care less about a CD player (going the way of the 8 track) and the amber light. The interior LED lights are much better.

Yea what is the deal with the C7 trunk??? I thought I was doing it wrong. You have to close it but not slam it and THEN push it down again to fully close it???
Why would you want to take a step backwards.......
An LS7 with the valve issue resolved in a Stingray would be a great motor and make the car faster than it is now. I can care less about the direct injection if you give me a 427 with over 500 horsepower.

Not so much now, but when I first got it the trunk almost never closed on the first attempt. Either it's gotten easier I've gotten more forceful.
If I can ever get my music organized I'll never miss the CD player.

Exactly. We know the torque curves are the same up to a certain point and then the LS7 walks away up to it's 7000rpm redline.
There's not much missing, that's for certain. Under hood light, rear hatch power pull-down, red-orange interior ambience light. I don't miss the CD player a bit. If I want to get very picky, I guess I could add that on my '05 I could retrieve a memory position by just tapping the appropriate button whereas on my '15 I have to hold the button in until everything reaches position. That's about it.
