Mine should be getting worked on today, I'll report back with results; I've had fueling issues since day 1 (late-March 2014 build, VIN 19XXX).

I hope it helps with the fueling issue. Mine is not on the list yet and I have fueling issues at certain service stations. It's not much of problem anymore as I know which local stations to use.

Some can be fixed in as little as an hour, but under certain conditions they have to pull the fuel tank and that takes up to 11 hours. Yikes!!!!

I sure hope they don't have to do anything this major to mine. At least they have assured me that only certified vette techs touch the vetttes in service. Still scares me. Will report back on Thursday.
Mine goes in on Fruday the 13th. Yikes! They said to be sure the tank is at 1/4 or less just in case they have to drop it. I think the only time they would have to drop the tank is if the part fell into the tank. Will see haw things go.

If the anti-siphon grid is in place, changing the filler neck is not going to solve the fueling problem..
I found that changing the angle the fuel goes in by rotating the nozzle makes a difference... Now that I see the grid it occurs to me that what this may be doing is simply changing the angle that the fuel passes through the grid so it flows smoother.

I have 114087 and it's not on the list! It's a vert. I wonder if this is a coupe only issue?

What I would do is flip the nozzle upside down, then it would fuel perfectly.

Whatever the dealer found while looking at it, they have to order parts to fix it.

I'll be taking another vehicle I own to my dealer this Saturday. I plan on chatting about my Vette and the grid situation. Roads are absolute crap in my part of the world so my car stays put for a while longer. I need to sched a state inspection for sometime in April and want to take care of the filler pipe at the same time. At this point the grid is still where it should be.

BTW, I have always had to rotate a fuel fill nozzle 90 degrees CCW to get an easy fill (no shut-offs). But this was also true on my C6 that I owned for 4 years.

One issue GM cannot seem to fix... My father's 1999 C5, my 2009 C6, and my 2014 C7 all have issues with fueling. Turning the nozzle upside down always works.

The only way I can get fuel into my tank is if it is 1/4 full or less. That is total bull **** for any car! This is my 6th Corvette and the first one with a fueling issue! I should have kept my 08.

Interesting thought. Mine is a vert and it's not on the list yet.

My Z51 coupe VIN 22486 is on list. I've never had a fill problem and hate to fix what has not been a problem.

It's not a coupe-only issue. Mine's a Z51 vert and IS on the recall list.

Fortunately, my grid's still in place right now. I don't have any problems fueling, so I'm not sure that correlation has any merit, either.

Mine is a base convertible, on the list. My grid is also in place.

Does anyone have the recall repair documentation?

I took my car to the local dealer yesterday and picked it up after hours so I didn't get a chance to talk to the service manager. The service invoice shows this: "CHECKED FUEL FILLER TUBE (NO REPAIR NECESSARY)"

Should I expect that no work is needed if the anti-siphon grid is in place? I know my dealer ordered parts last week and we setup an appointment for the work to be done, but it looks like no replacement was needed per the service invoice.

According to the recall instructions, even if the grid is in place, they are to replace the filler nozzle....
Here is the recall instructions....recall14689a.pdf

And I also posted them here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-bulletin.html

Got my 2014 C7 back from the dealers yesterday. The grid was in place but barely. GM allowed 1.5 hrs to do the job it took him almost 4 hrs being very careful not to let the grid slip out and into the tank. For the first time since I bought the car I was able to fill the tank without the pump constantly clicking off on me. When it get down to 3/4 I will try to fill it again. Most of my problems were when the tank got past 1/2 full. Now I have to keep an eye out for any gas leaks. Sorry but I don't trust most dealer mechanics to double check everything.
