Default Track preparations?

I have a new 2015 C7 Stingray (2LT w/A8) that I plan to take to a local track every once in a while (Summit Point, WV). It's not racing. It's simply driver track training and an opportunity to use your Corvette on a professional racing track in a manner for which it was designed.
A few "newbie" questions for the group (forgive me in advance, but I did look through the forums for answers before posting):
1. How many miles should I put on this car before running it on the track? I am through the "break-in period" of 1500 miles, currently nearing 2K miles on the car.
2. I used to track my first (of three) Corvettes; a 1989 w/auto. It cost me a full set of brakes every time I spent a weekend at the track. What is the situation with a new C7? Should I also plan on new brakes after every two (or so) visits?
3. When should I change the oil? Before or after? Before AND after? I assume I'll need to get that new break-in oil changed before I run it on the track, or should I wait and change it immediately after?

Thanks for your advice and assistance, friends!

I would change it before you start hitting it aggressively If you have a Z51 C7, it should have been changed at 500 miles. Good Luck.

Wife's family is in W.V. Spent a week there two years ago for the family reunion. Mountain community above Elkins. Ruby something.
Flew into Charlston. Saw Hawks Nest. Beautiful Country.

Follow your owners manual to prep. Definitely change all fluids including 15-50 oil. Also have the track alignment done.
After the event change back to 5-30 oil and normal alignment.
The alignment will save wear and tear on your tires.
I ran my '14 C7 with this prep last year at Summit Point. Stock brakes held up fine ( 2 events ).
If you want to have separate pads for track days, I would recommend Carbotech XP10 or XP12.
Hope to see you at SP.

Also look at this:
http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam...ckPREP_v23.pdf

Its technically for the 2014 but I would also assume applies for 2015.

Good info from the owner's manual of a 2014 Z51-equipped car. Useful information for a 2015 non-Z51 also, I'm sure. Doesn't quite address the three specific questions I asked, but I'm grateful for the contribution nevertheless.

What this says. If you are using that much brake at a driving school, perhaps you need to invest in the Ron Fellows Spring Mountain 3 day course and see how little braking you really need. It's been awhile since I did an anti-terrorist driving school at Summit Point but I don't recall that much heavy braking to wear out stock pads in a weekend.

I live in Purcellville as well...Hi!

I drove at Watkins Glen last fall right at 1500 miles. You are good there and per GM specs.

I did 6 track days (HPDE), and have not had to change my brake pads yet. YMMV.

I change my oil to 15-50 before, but since I track often I do not change it back right away. I get it track inspected before every event at a local shop that is run by track folk...PM for details.

I suggest following the track prep guide mentioned in the earlier post.

I'll be at Summit Point 3/21 and 22 with Audi Club's HPDE. Hope to see you there.

Cheers, neighbor! Friday At The Track at Summit Point is in my line of sights. Hope to see you and other performance car lovers there.
