I think I'm just about done with my engine bay. Finished painting the windshield cowling carbon flash but still need to polish the wiper arms. I just wish I could figure out what to do with the alternator. I have a cover for it but was told it's for show only....

Very nice engine bay! The picture doesn't seem to give the cowl justice but I do love the cf on the plenum cover. By the way, I've read on here somewhere before, don't have the exact link, that you can still apparently use the cover even not for show ( depending on which one you have ). A quick search might lead you to it but never the less your engine bay looks fantastic.

Do you have a parts list for all the pieces need to replace the rubber to braided hoses plus the fittings...would love to do this, but feel better if I had a parts list of all the pieces.... Thanks
Your engine bay looks great. After seeing numerous C5 and C6 engine bays over the years with every type of stick-on stainless steel of hydro carbon cover imaginable, I lean more towards the "less is more" side and I think you're right there in showing off your engine without going over the top.
As to the alternator, I would suggest having it powdercoated black.
Very well done, and as others said, the braided lines add so much to the looks. Great....just when I thought I was done with the car! Need (would like) more details on where and what you ordered, first class work there! Would love mine to look like that in NRB!

Very nice looking! As far as the alternator goes the main concern is the heat that's why mine stays off until I show it. The only alternatives I've found that may be a viable option would be either having it powder coated/chromed or covering it with a mesh cover. I believe ACC sells them.
Have you considered a painted cover for the heat extractor up front?

All were on ebay from GETFAST1, except the separator clamps were from overseas on ebay also. I can't swear this list is complete as I may of had a fitting or two laying around but this is pretty close. If you need closeup pictures let me know. I'll get them this week.

Actually the pictures don't show it well but I painted my heat extractor carbon flash. However, where did you find that cover? You never know!!
Looks great ! Did you do the painting yourself of use a supplier?
All of the engine covers are from RPI; the heat extractors, windshield cowling, and fender corner pcs I did with paint and plastic adhesion promoter from Automotive Touchup.
