Go for Credit Union pricing. Same as supplier, but much easier to get. Lots of threads here on Credit Union Pricing.

Up to the dealer if he will accept it. Most small dealers will not.

Default Supplier pricing

Most of our forum dealers will accept supplier pricing. Good place to start.

Those dealers will continue to be small and will continue to have very small allocations given to them because of this. Their loss.

that's good news--when I was shopping for mine, I sent offers via email to all the Chevy dealers here in DFW, of which there are many. I wanted to order for museum delivery, cash deal, no trade, $X.

Only one replied other than with the usual pablum of "come on in and we'll treat you right" line.

The one, told me, if you belong or can join a credit union, we'll order what you want at Credit Union pricing which is lower than the price you offered. And I did, just that--ordered from them and they're not the closest dealer to me by any means.

Frankly, I don't know why all dealers don't do that--want to earn my business? The fastest way is to advise and accept credit union pricing or give me an even better deal.

Go to Cable Dahmer Chevy in Independence, MO. It's probably around the corner from you. I bought mine there at supplier price and drove home to Ohio.

I am sure others would appreciate you posting what D/FW dealer you used.

Thanks for the info.

After swearing I would never step foot in their dealership again, I bought mine from Hendrick Chevy on Shawnee Mission Pkwy. They have been great this time. I traded in a Mercedes E-350 and the trade was fair. Don't overvalue your C6 with dealers. The only way to maximize your sale price is to sell it yourself...HOWEVER, you will lose a substantial sales tax offset if you do that, so consider that in the trade amount.

GM Credit Union Discount

Do you need to become a credit union member before the sale or just mention this discount? Deets?

I live in KC, bought mine from Hendrick. They have been offering supplier pricing to everybody for the last three months, but they say that will stop after tomorrow. I have credit union membership.

They will give you a fair trade--but you have to work for it. They'll try and lowball your trade to start with--as many dealers will. Just know what your trade is realistically worth--not what you think/hope it's worth. In the end, I got a reasonable trade-in.

FYI, Missouri is different than Kansas. If you sell a car privately or trade six months before or after you buy your new car, you can get the sales tax credit.

I also received supplier pricing at Hendricks in Kansas City. They were great to work with.
