Bit the bullet!!!
Finally ordered a C7. Back story is I was going to order a '14 immediately upon launch but delayed when I learned convertibles were not instantly available. As time went on, I decided to wait for a 2015. And then I delayed the order as I pondered whether to buy one off a lot or realize my Museum Delivery dream. Plus, I couldn't decide upon a color.
So, after due deliberation and several discussions I ordered a 2015 convertible yesterday. Specifics: Z51, NRB, black top, chrome wheels, 3LT Kalahari, mag ride, 8-speed.
Hope for early May pick up at museum.
This will be my 6th Corvette; 1989, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2009. All convertibles.
Sold the 2009 two years ago (3/1/2013) and have missed having one immensely. Current rides are 2011 Ranger Rover Sport and 2014 Jeep Wrangler, Plan to keep both in the stable. Cannot beat a Range Rover for long trips, and the Jeep always makes me smile.
As an aside, at some point I might relate a rather disappointing experience with a very large Corvette dealer who had several opportunities to get my business. He simply failed even when I said I was ready to order on a specific day. No return e-mail, no call, nothing.
Now counting the days 'til a trip to Kentucky... cannot wait.
