I seem to be having continuous little issues with my C7. I was wondering if anyone else is having one problem after another?
1. The GPS cable interference issue
2. Steering module would not line up (or something like that) causing the car to pull slightly to the right at higher speeds.
3. A loose rivet in the fly wheel.
4. The paint seems to be flawed in the clear coat or the paint itself. (will bring to the dealership when I get home from out of town for them to see)
The dealership has been fantastic about fixing every issue in a timely manner I would like to add. I love the car, but my gut feeling tells me these little issues will always continue. After the warranty is out, I do not want thousand dollar trips at a time every few months. Also, roughly 800 miles alone have been spent going back and forth to the dealership.... I purchased in Oct. 2014. I do not have the vin # info handy, I am out of town.
I am considering trading it in and letting them deal with it…..
Again the dealership has been outstanding and offering numerous apologies. It all seems to be manufacturer related.
That's just some badluck brother. Hate to say it, but something like you mentioned (a trade) might not be a bad idea.
Just remember if the same problems persist, and you take it to the dealer 3 times for the same issue, you can start the lemon law process. Most states have similar laws on this.
now if it's something different everytime, there could be lemon laws for that too.
I know we usually see more of the problems get posted here (people coming to look for advice) but it seems like corvette has many issues. If you go on BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Infiniti forums it's there too though... most people post about problems, not how much they enjoy the car (which we get alot of here as well)

I will need to do some more research on the lemon law. It has not been the same issue, and they have fixed everyone. (the dealership) I may just start over and hope for a fair trade in.
I've seen previous posts about the cars pulling to the right. My does, but I've just been living with it for now. I'm curious to see if anyone chimes in as to why it pulls to the right.

I brought mine in, the service tech said something about a control steering module if I remember correctly. They had to order a new one from the factory. It took a while for the part to come in( a week or two), but it did correct the issue. My concern with it was $1800 in tires wearing out too fast!!

I feel your pain. While I love many aspects of the car, I do not want to live in fear when the warranty expires. I drove my 2008 almost 6 yrs without a hitch and developed a great deal of confidence in the car. That confidence level does not exist w/ the C7. I knew there were certain risks inherent with a new model rollout so I did it with my eyes open. GM will eventually get its act together w/ the C7 but it may not be until 2016 or 2017. In Mar 2016 I will reach the 2 yr point w/ my car and a critical decision point....
So far I'm 100% satisfied. I have not had to bring the car in for a single issue. It does suck when you have a car that spends more time at the dealer then in your hands. I had one of those years ago. A year of rentals until Chrysler bought the car back.

As you mentioned, a lot of threads discussing this issue. I took mine in for an alignment - problem solved.
I have owned a lot of first year production cars and have been very fortunate to not have many issues. Just purchased a used 14 and hope the trend continues. Unfortunately, issues can come up with any model year so there is no guarantee a 16 or 17 will not have its share of potential issues. Every year new technology, components, etc.. gets added or upgraded and this adds to the list of potential issues. At least you have a good dealership who is addressing and fixing your concerns. I understand your frustration though.
Thanks guys for all the feedback. I think I am going to trade it in. I just hope the loss is minimal on the trade. If not I will get one form a different dealership.

Don't know the specifics of your lemon law and how many issues and how long but if it's in that area a dealer buyback (avoiding a lemon) can be way better then trading it in unless your dealer is just plain nice to you.

I think it's more then GM getting it's act together....Just too many electronic devices on board to go without a warranty....Same with Mercedes or BMW. After 3 or four years they become electrical nightmares..C6 was much simpler and inspired "less fear"
Not endemic with the C7... We have had ours since last June and have put over 16,000 trouble free miles on it, including over 4000 on the trip home from the Museum delivery.
Most have no issues, so don't be afraid of the model or brand.

This is the first car, or consumer good of any type, on which I have purchased an extended warranty.

My thoughts exactly...you stated it better. I have had thoughts of selling the C7 and finding a good 2012 or 2013 C6. Wifey's MB not much better...too many sophisticated electronics and buttons. Guess it's a generational issue (age)

I am in the car business. If you are having multiple problems and are considering trading it for a newer year the dealer should get the District Manager involved. Some call it "Trade Assist"...some call it "buy back". Either way it doesn't hurt to try to get some assistance from GM.
