Sure, why not? A lot of forum members have them. Some have painted, others put them on straight out the box. They look nice and will help protect. Waiting for warmer weather to put mine on.
The good: They fit nicely, the look like they belong on the car and take about 2 minutes each to put on. The bad: Not that much extra protection, but as others say, better than nothing. I found them on the web for a great price, I would buy them again.
I'm happy they came with because, after 2K miles of driving with those sticky Z51 tires, they look like they have been hit with buckshot.
I'm thinking about replacing them when I put on my new AS3 Micheline's
GM Accessories sells wider ones than the pieces that come stock. I installed them on my wife's C7 and have a set for my Z06, to be installed as soon as the garage floor gets above 40 F.
I installed the GM splash guards on my 2015 DSOM coupe. Sure they are not much wider but will help a little especially after I installed the Z7R Stage II skirts from RPI. Here is a picture of the difference:
Just found the RPI one painted to match- They are 1 inch outside the original molding. Unti they arrice I am going to put the clear appliques (PPF) on front and rear as soon as warm enough.

Better than the shields that came on the car.
Just take a look at the target area downstream of the tires.
Also had rockers and lower section of the doors covered with XPEL.
