I'm insured through GEICO and added their Mechanical Breakdown Insurance when I added my 2014 C7 to my policy. It's a 7 year/100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty that covers everything above the standard GM warranty except intentional damage and normal wear and tear. It has a $250 deductible per occurrence. I pay $34.60 per six months, so if I kept it for all 7 years I would have only paid $484.40.
Just figured I'd throw that out there since it is significantly less than what the dealers are charging for extending warranties. My car is at Vengeance Racing right now getting a VRSC750 package installed so I imagine my factory warranty is mostly done. GEICO said they'll cover modifications but you have to let them know what you have and how much it costs to replace. I'm guessing the premium will increase with mods as well.
I bought my warranty @ 11951 miles. The car is less then a year old. I purchased 7yr 84,000 mile warranty( from a Non Forum dealer) So, my car is warrantied to 95,951 miles. I have a $100 deductible. Price $1,650. I looked in to buying it during the second year, but the numbers made more sense to buy it now Hope this helps

I don't know if that's good, but if you happen to have GEICO look at their mechanical breakdown. it's a bumper to bumper coverage for about ~120 bucks a year. 7 year 100,000 mile warranty and you can get it as long as your car is under 15,000 miles and 12 months. You can get your car fixed anywhere, and modding vehicle does not void it (they will only cover OEM parts, and not the aftermarket parts though)

Al
I didn't realize that these warranties add the covered mileage to the mileage that is on the car when you purchase the warranty. This is different for every other extended warranty I have seen. This is very nice. You got a good price. Well done. When I got prices I didn't see anything at 84K miles. The mileages offered were: 40, 60, 75 and 100K. Can you PM the name of the dealer where you purchased your warranty? Thanks.
