Occasionally my dash does not light up after starting my car. Up until recently I thought it was random, but now realize it's only after having the hatch open. I have to pull and re-insert fuse #25 (I think that's the number) and it reboots fine. I hate taking my car to the dealer so I thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced this and knows of a cause/solution.

That has happened to me a few times. Start the car and nothing ... no speedo, no rpm, no fuel, none of the gauges worked, digital or analogue, completely dark. I had to drive home one night. After restarting, they came on. Not sure if my hatch has anything to do with this.
This may or may not apply, many of these goofy behaviors can be low batt charge. Try starting your car with all other systems off, stereo, lights etc. If this solves the problem, the batt is low by a few tents. Computers run the show now, and they need clean, strong current.

Thanks. I'll give it a try but I drive it nearly ever day and it's got the trickle charger on it if I know it'll be a week or more before I can drive it.
Just keep in mind a batt with a bad cell can be charged 24/7 and still not take the full charge. I load test my batt every 6 months, this is not a current check, but cell integrity type test, avail at all auto parts stores....
