Default PDR question

My 2015 with 3LT (which I believe should include PDR) is approximately 2 months old. I decided to try the PDR so I purchased a SanDisk 32GB SD card, class 10, 48MB/s. When I plug the card into the slot in the glove box (in front of the passenger) I am not seeing the PDR icon on the main screen, and I do not see any change in the screen when I plug it in.

I checked the format of the card on my desktop computer and it says it is FAT32. In fact I reformatted it just to be sure.

I copied a few MP3 files to the card and they play fine when plugged into the center console slot so I will assume that the card is OK.

The owners manual indicates that “If equipped, the PDR icon displays on the Home screen” so I am assuming that the PDR icon should appear on the main screen even though there is no card in the slot, true? Anyone else experiencing this problem? Is it user error?

Thanks,
Charles

Mine shows up without even having a card in the slot.

What shows up on the screen?

Yes, the icon shows up regardless of having a card in the slot. Perhaps you moved it to the second screen?

Problem solved, operator ignorance. Because of the rotten weather I have only driven the car about four times so I am not yet familiar with all of the options and screens. Turns out the dealer left the Audio infotainment screen as the default rather than the base “Home” screen that displays all of the icons. A press of the “Back” button cured the problem. Thanks for the assistance.

And this one -
Amazon.com: SanDisk Ultra 32GB UHI-I/Class 10 Micro SDHC Memory Card Up to 48MB/s With Adapter- SDSDQUAN-032G-G4A [Newest Version]: Computers & Accessories Amazon.com: SanDisk Ultra 32GB UHI-I/Class 10 Micro SDHC Memory Card Up to 48MB/s With Adapter- SDSDQUAN-032G-G4A [Newest Version]: Computers & Accessories

Can't get either to be recognized in the car---Any thoughts? When I switch to the PDR screen, it says NO SD card inserted

Got it working, maybe dust or something on the card. I pushed it in and out several times, works now.

Thank you so much for posting that the slot is in the glove box. I was just getting ready to start a new thread as to why mine wasn't showing up. I had it in the slot thats in the armrest . Who would have thought that it would be where it is.

We would have never ordered one with this feature, but we wound up buying a 15 off the showroom floor that had it and I think it's going to be really cool having it.

WooHoo...now the fun begins!!

I'm glad it helped! The card slot in your center console (under the armrest) is great for storing your music. Have you had a chance to try that feature yet?

No we haven't. We have SO much to learn!!

When our sales guy was going through everything with us, I thought he told us that without plugging in we could still play music from our phones. Do you know? Without the SD card I mean.

Your salesperson was correct. Once you've paired your phone to your car, you can stream music via Bluetooth.
