Default 30 second Mod

Used a Sharpie pen to cover the Dexos name on the oil filler cap. Maybe this will reduce confusion for the oil change tech, and increase the possibility of getting Mobil 1 during an oil change.

My bad...forgot to take a "before" pic. As an alternative, open your hood and take a look

Why would you think the tech would use Mobil 1?

It's a possibility someone might just add a cheap oil from Kmart.

Because GM put out a bulletin speciifiying Mobil 1 for 2014 and 2015 Corvettes in January of 2015.

You know that Dexos is a specification, not a brand or type of oil, and that Mobil 1 meets it, right?

Because fairly often as reported on this very Forum, the tech will use the GM Dexos oil even though he is directed to use Mobil 1, just because he see's "Dexos" on the oil filler cap.
