Default Blacked out side markers

I removed my side markers and covered them with black carbon fiber vinyl. The markers can be removed without removing the fenders - not hard to do - just remove the screws that hold the fender liner and reach in to disengage the three clips that hold each marker.

Don't want to rain on your parade, as you certainly did a great job, but some states consider this illegal, and could cause you to fail inspection. Just saying....

If I ordered a white Vette I would have opted to go with clear side markers that have amber leds in them.

This keeps you legal as actual light is amber per code but the clear side marker looks perfect and blends in nicely with the car during the day.

I did this on my FR-S which is white and it looks great.

I don't see the point. Unless you cover or replace with paint color matched material they are still there and stick out like a sore thumb, so why not just leave them as is, at least they appear to have a purpose that way. Until I see a better option I'll just leave mine as is. But that's just me, its your car do what turns you on.

On the new BMW's there are after-market replacements for that part which are color matched, so when installed, it blends in with the body panel.

I actually like the look and have similar vinyl overlays on my white C7 as well. I don't mind the red so much but those ambers are just gawd awful. The lights underneath still shine through clearly so no real issue with this mod. Yes, they are considered 'illegal,' but we have been running clear corners or tinted reflectors in my household for years with no problems *knock wood*.

IMO, it draws attention to the lights and they look covered. I did RPIdesigns.com vinyl to darken them, but still functional....
