Launch control. Can it be better?
I've been having some downtime lately, so I've been doing alot of youtubing and I continuously see how editors praise the Porsche's launch control. In other reviews, I always see how editors mention how they get better 0-60 times without launch control in the stingray
Why is this? What makes Porsche's launch control so much better? I assume it has something to do with the combination of PDK? (i'm talking about RWD porsches, not AWD) I noticed the lc for porsche sounds like a 2 step or something.
You would think off line, it wouldn't matter if you have a manual or a PDK. you set an RPM, then either you or the computer releases the clutch and off you go. I don't understand how it is so much better in the porsche.
and why are people getting 'better' times without lc in the c7?
I messed around with it few days ago, and my best was a 4.0 and my worst was a 4.2... I don't see how it can get much better than that. (not sure how accurate the timer in the car is)
I'm just curious and see if anyone has any reasoning, or an explanation behind it.
