As you probably know, avoiding introducing swirl marks into the clear coat is especially critical with black cars. Any high quality soap will work. I prefer Zaino products. Use it generously, as it provides the viscosity to prevent paint damage. Use plenty of water, rinse the mitt often and use a second bucket to wash any grit out of the mitt before moving on to the next panel. For drying, I like the zaino blonde borderless towels. A leaf blower also works well. Drying with poor quality towels can also introduce swirl marks.
I had a black C6. I loved it when it was clean, but owning a black car is a career choice.
Boar's hair body brush- think equivalent of holding blonde super model by her heels, dunk head in sudsy bucket, lightly first pass on wet panel. Don't scrub. Floats surface dirt off.
Real wool wash mitts-one for above & one for below grit line. Throw away when knap is not clean as new. Rinse after each pass by filling with rinse water and squeeze so water pushes from inside through and out the knap.
Separate buckets for rinse water & soap water with grit guards in each. Change rinse water frequently.
DR spotless water system-use for all water, suds bucket, rinse bucket, hose rinsing
Dry with master blaster.
I like blackfire triple play to make it shine.
Soap-zaino
Stray spots-microfiber and zaino detailing spray.
Been upkeeping non-black cars thusly so my 2015 z51 quadruple black is no harder.
Basically try to avoid swirling the paint when washing and drying.
How serious are you about detailing your car? I've owned two black vettes in the past and the one thing that bugged me is the fine scratches you would see in the paint from cleaning the car incorrectly. I came across this guys youtube channel yesterday and watched some of his detail work. His products are not cheap, not crazy expensive either but if you want to keep your car looking great I would suggest watching his videos and using some of his products. I cannot say for certain his stuff is worth it as I have not used it yet but I think I'm convinced after watching his work.
