I am planning on using my voucher from my C7 purchase in the next couple days.
Went through a breakup recently and hoping that the desert air will help clear my head. I am wondering about what the experience was like to anyone who went alone for the two day course?
I would imagine the girlfriend wouldn't have enjoyed the daytime as much (and of course not taking part in the cars), but would have enjoyed the evening time a lot together. I don't wanna just be the young, single guy sitting at the lounge for 2 evenings.
Lol I'm 24, girlfriend is staying home and I'm going alone. I'm not concerned. I'll make friends there or keep to myself if not. Not really worried either way. I'm there to drive a C7 to its limits.

Doubt you'll be the only "single" guy there. Every time I have gone there are 15 -20 other Corvette guys around to buddy up to and talk Corvettes or whatever...... Go see the Hooker (not the headers) Museum it's pretty interesting so I've been told). And yes Vegas is only 45 minutes away so plenty to do.
Just don't use your new skills on the road to Vegas, NHP knows who travels that road the most.
You have nothing to worry about. Most people there are solo. You'll make friends with your classmates on the first day and go out to dinner that night. Try the Winery!
You will find a group of friends there. Nobody is an introvert after going 120 into Turn 1 and you will immediately have something in common with your classmates. (Its a shame there aren't a lot of hot 20-something chicks that buy new vettes though!)

I was there last week (I have full write up on the forum).
There were 22 people who participated - 4 had significant others, the other 18 were guys flying solo.
Unless you are a tool, you should have no problem fitting in and socializing with the others for dinner.
Keep in mind, your day will start at 6 am, with breakfast at 6:45 am, and school until about 4:30 pm or so. There is social hour in the bar from 5-6 pm between days, and then if you grab dinner between 6:30 and 8 pm in Pahrump, there won't be too much time left before you head off to bed.

That way you will have more fun. Trust me.
Took the Powell Corvette driving school at Mosport in 1991 with hangover the first day. Bad, bad idea. Water the best idea.
Speaking of the lounge at Spring Mtn, they have a good burger there for dinner. Since there isn't much in Pahrump you might suggest to your classmates who head to the lounge at Spring Mtn after class that you just stay and get the burger. Interesting people buy Corvettes and you have a chance to hear their stories. Also, it isn't much fun getting into your cheap rental car after a day racing Corvettes, although Pahrump is just a few minutes away.
Actually it's not. Vegas is an hour away and the last thing you'll want to do after a day on the track is drive 2 hours @ 60 mph to hang out or see a show. Dinner and a few drinks with new friends and you'll be ready to crash and charge up for the next day.
^^^ This! You're about 50 minutes away from Las Vegas.
SS, I went by myself and didn't know anyone either. It worked out fine. You'll meet people and buddy up with them for dinners. The first night, I went into town and found a restaurant that was just fine.
We went to the Winery one night too. Go to Pahrump, clear your head and enjoy driving FAST!
