AW Z51 has 650 miles and awaiting it first oil change on Thursday- time to add some little extras. Two questions regarding Lloyds "Luxe" mats and cargo mat. 1) do you remove the thin stuff that comes from GM or add the Lloyd's as a second layer? 2) Many have complained about tire/road noise in the Coupes and have put down sound absorbing mats under the cargo mat- would the 48 OZ Lloyd's 1/2 inch pile mat offer noticeable quieting of road/tire noise? Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks
I have the Ultra Lloyds mats. The Luxe mats are just too costly. As far as wear, None of the Llyods mats last IMHO. After a year or less they start to show major wear. There just are not any other options since Stratmosphere went away in 2008. Yes, you can get Weathertech mats which I LOVE in my daily driver but want carpeted mats in my C7.
Coco mats are awesome as I have had them in several of my older BMWs. Not sure they would look too good in a C7 but they are offering a sisal mat now that is more modern looking. Quality is outstanding and they will send out samples by request. They are made in Fort Mill, SC, USA.
those lloyd mats are very nice, but alot of people complain about the mats in these cars... they're really not that bad. Have you seen the thin mats you get on the Volt? lol
