Sure there's a thread about this somewhere, but why won't people add their location to their signature...pretty AC if you ask me...

don't know why.....they just chose not to I guess.....not a big deal really......but I know I always do. I have actually found members on multiple different forums I have been a part of based on the fact we were close to one another and ended up hanging out and go to street meets and the like.....after all, its one big happy family.

Does make it easier when someone asks for help or a recommendation on local vendors or service.

I don't know how. That and it really does help to stalk folks. No lie.

At least indicating the state would help some - especially when a forum member is asking for help.

I don't want to put down my city (I like the little bit of anonymity) but I have my county listed, which really pins me in if someone is to google my county

I've always included my whereabouts but I do believe some on these kinds of forums have felt and been threatened before and so I understand the reasons for anonymity.

Because of adding cities and states, I did meet a new member locally recently and found a super, super fellow car buff with an outstanding garage.

He even offered to help me install the front splitter and perhaps side skirts this summer.

There are some great people out there but as we all know and have seen here and elsewhere, a few caveats are always in order.

If someone really wants to find you it doesn't really matter.

I'm Happy to put in my location because as mentioned earlier, it can help with needed services in your area and create potential friendships and "car guy" connections. Especially when you live in a very small populated community.
