No matter which you choose be careful putting the roof in the trunk, the Z51 spoiler is a magnet for those rear pins on the roof, and the paint on the spoiler will scratch in an instant, ask me how I know.

I changed my white spolier to the CF one, kept the white mirrors, I think it looks great. Can't go wrong with either one.

I decided to order the Carbon Flash since my car has the C/F emblem package and black wheels. I also think it balance's out the look of the rear being the whole lower half is C/F from the factory anyway. I also made this decision based on the fact I'm going to use the tape on method of installation and I can use black silicone sealer to hide the small gap between the black spoiler and the car with the spoiler being black the sealer bead should just blend in to the wing and make the install look more seamless. I will post pictures once I get it in about 2 weeks.

Yeah, I scratched mine on the right side. Pretty frustrated with myself.

Both cars are going to look the same, I also changed the chrome emblems to the CF emblems.

I had the same problem, I elected to not do the spoiler. I will wait until there is a lower spoiler. I just did not want to catch the top or my golf bag on the top edge of the spoiler.

They do make an attached vinyl apron that folds out of the trunk and over the rear spoiler for paint protection. Or you can just keep an old beach towel in the back and drape it over the rear when taking stuff in and out of the hatch.

Those are nice but the Corvette logo tax for that kind of stuff is crazy!

A long time ago, even before I bought my first Corvette, I would buy a soft, velour blanket, usually black, and keep it in the trunk of my car. I played a lot of golf and baseball/softball, so I would just wrap it over the edge of the trunk lid whenever I loaded up or took equipment out of the trunk to prevent scratches. Seemed to have worked because I didn't have any nasty marks or scratches in that area.

WHY??? You have already read where the Z06 sports body colored mirrors with the dark spoiler. Do you believe that GM got it "wrong" with the Z06?

Its not a Z06 and I like the CF MIRRORS along with the CF SPOILER and the BLACK WHEELS "OK". That's what I like maybe not what you like but is for the original poster to decide ! Do you think GM got it "WRONG" with the Z51 and ZF1 packages that have matching CF spoiler, mirrors and Black wheels?

I don't by any means thing GM got it "wrong" by matching the CF spoiler with CF mirrors. My memory just keeps going back to all those years when cars came with basic black mirrors and it you wanted body colored mirrors, you had to pay EXTRA. I guess times change...

Carbon flash ... and then carbon flash the mirrors. ... Oh, and get the carbon fiber or transparent roof.

... Or just go white on the spoiler.

(see what I did there?)

I found that out after I ordered the car and the order was already at 3000. May get one after all and get the apron to protect it.

Right side here as well, looks like we put our tops in the same way. I'm overly careful now every time. I tried touching it up, it's not to noticeable now other then to me.

the contrast between a dark spoiler, body paint, and rear lights really sets it off.

I do like the CF mirror treatment too. The brighter colored mirrors tend to distract my peripheral vision. Although you'd probably get used to that also.

So you're NOT buying from the same vendor who sold you a oil magnet are you? If so, read up on that vendors spoilers. Some are not happy with the way it installs with simply double sided tape and you will need to trim the tape or it shows.

If you buy from the same vendor, I have no sympathy if you are unhappy. Rember, painted parts are NOT returnable whether you like the fit or not.

Good luck.

No I did not buy it from C/M. The vendor I purchased from includes both tape and hard mounting choices and it will come with all hardware to bolt it in if I decide I don't like the look of the tape installation.
