Attempted Theft
Went to get in my car after a volunteer stint at the local hospital and the horn beeped 3 times when I opened door.Message on DIC read Theft Attempted.Turns out my windshield camera fell off and the motion detector went off.Sensor must be sensitive as the camera is small.

I've been looking for more information on what will set the "Tamper Alarm" and cause the car to beep three times when you unlock it. Happens sometime when I leave work.
Is someone messing with the car or is it just the angle of the sun setting off the motion sensor?
Can someone smack the car to set off the alarm like kids like to do?

One time last summer I had my car parked in the sun and used a windshield sun screen, it came loose and slid down on one side. When I got into the car and started it I received the same warning, "Message on DIC read Theft Attempted."
