Default Traction Issues

I live a bit northwest of San Antonio and have for some time questioned the traction the local roads provide. Today said again that the road surfaces have very poor traction and I’d be interested in some forum members who live in the local area commenting.

I was leaving the large La Cantera mall heading toward the RIM today, roads bone dry. Going uphill from a stop, A6 in second gear and gave it very little throttle and both rear wheels started to break loose significantly. I’m driving on the stock base C7 wheels/tires.

While I think the engine is operating very well, I seriously doubt it is producing significantly more power than average. Don

It's hard to say because everyone has the way they drive. What is a little throttle for some is a lot of throttle to another. I will say this the new engines have a ton of torque early. They do not need a lot of rpm to put out big numbers. Try using less throttle then you are use to using. One strange thing about my car is the lack of feeling I am accelerating when it actuality I am. Watch the speedometer rather then trusting your body to judge quickness.

I do understand what you’re getting at but I can say what I used really was a tiny amount of throttle. Don

Have you looked into the Z51 sway bar for the front and rear?
I noticed the problem similar and got the Z51 sway bars and noticed a difference in pulling the rear in when they start sliding when giving the car too much gas going through 1st to second gear.

Default Traction Issues

Definitely huge traction differences between concrete and asphalt, smooth or textured, etc. etc.
