It's been a long winter . Does anyone notice when taking the car out in cold weather that when Turing the wheel while backing out from driveway it feels like the tires are rubbing the wheel well . But when it warms up it seems to go away.

Normal. Low profile tire sidewall rubbing will occur at very low speed turning of wheels.
Tire Chatter/Hop
When driving at slow speeds and in
very tight turns, the vehicle may
have tire chatter/hop. This is normal
and the vehicle does not require
service.
Also do a search - tire hop or Ackerman effect. Dozens of threads
The dealer who sells these cars should tell tell the buyer about wheel hop along with the summer tires that you can't drive in the winter;both are a pain in the butt!
It happens to me almost every time I back out of my driveway. Even after 14000 miles it still takes me by surprise sometimes and sends a shock wave through my senses! It'll be interesting to see if my new Bridgestone tires do the same thing.
The video in post 12 is correct, but the C7 uses a non-Ackermann design to get better turning performance. Therefore the resulting wheel hop should really be called the "Non-Ackermann Effect".
Why would you blame poor Ackermann for the problem when the engineers didn't follow his advice? That would be like calling the committee formed to investigate **** and Communist sympathizers the House American Activities Committee.
