Thanks for contacting us at Quirk Chevy inquiring on the 2015 Corvette Z06. Yes, we are indeed offering $6K off the sticker price.
Not saying this isn't possible, but the forum is littered with examples of this same thing, only to find out it was indeed too good to be true. Usually in the form of additional markups, website errors, or downright bait & switch lying. Only when the buyer went onsite to purchase did the fine print come to light. Again, not saying it isn't possible (it eventually will be), but you have to understand the skepticism.

The skepticism is understood. However, there are some that say that it is just not possible and others who say that based on their experience with other dealerships, there has to be a catch here. The fact is, no one really knows unless they work through the deal with THIS particular dealership. Far too many people think the worst of others immediately rather than giving people the benefit of the doubt. I'm not saying don't be wise about things, but some people don't even give people a chance. That just doesn't make sense to me.

One of those crotch rockets will stay with a Z06 in the 1/4 mile, one will out run it, and one will leave it for dead. But yes, I'd love to have a new Corvette in the garage. Just not ready yet.

And all three will leave you dead or crippled if you make a single mistake on them. Get the Vette.

You can't die or become crippled in a wreck in a Corvette?

Remember when the dealer sells these Zs, they get allocations for more. This is an expensive car so $6,000 is no big deal. The Shark Grey 3LZ looks like a good deal at 84k.

The opinion I stated was not based on my dealings with other dealerships, but first hand and real world buying experience with the dealership mentioned.
My last new vehicle purchased was from them, and it will be the one and only from them.
I ended up with a good deal money wise on a new silverado, but if I had to do it again I would not go back.
I'm cheap, but they're not worth it to me.

Understood. What was sleazy about the way they do business?

I don't think it's correct. You can't build a 2015 for much longer then a 6 week or longer break and inventories are selling. Large dealer I got mine from has 2 left. Not ordering anymore 2015's

They will sell all 2015's they make. The mold is broken on the discount's.

There is no 6 week break, or longer between the last 2015 an the first 2016. More like 3 minutes. When the last 2015 rolls off the assembly line, the next car will be a 2016, following in 3 minutes.

There is still 2 1/2 months left in the 2015 production run and that means around another 2800 Z06's will be built before they changeover to the 2016's.

I agree. I contacted Kerbeck and asked an estimate on when they thought the "newness" would wear off the Z06. They said look for discounts this fall.

I bought my new 3LT '09 C6Z in June of 2010 and the dealer had the $83515 car marked down to $68000 and I received $6000 in rebates, making the price $62000 before me trade. That took care of a great deal of depreciation.

Of course C6Z weren't that in demand like the C7Z but still a heck of a deal.

No factory incentives yet on the C7 and I wouldn't expect any until dealers start passing on allocation which hasn't really started happening yet. Perhaps some end of year incentives when 2016's start shipping to help out some of the larger dealers move inventory but don't expect Z06 incentives in the near future. Once they catch up on the A8 Z06 orders I expect to see them added to the employee/supplier programs. No guarantee on the Credit Union program as they are already excluding all Caddys.

You purchased a 2009 in June 2010. The 2009's had been in production since June 2008, Two years earlier.

When you purchased your 2009, the 2011's were just starting in production.

In addition, in June 2010(when you purchased your 2009), the C6 Z06 had been in production since June 2005. Four years of production. Plus the economy had tanked.

The C7 Z06 has only been in production for only 6-7 months. The C6 Z06 were commanding MSRP and over when it was only out for 6-7 months.

I believe you will find that the C7 Z06 will be selling for under MSRP much sooner after beginning of production vs the C6 Z06. To start off, less than 7,000 2006 Z06's were built, and it appears that the first year production of the C7 Z06 could be over 8,000.

I purchased my 2009 Z06(built in June 2008) in July2008(one of the first 2009 Corvettes built) and bought it for $68,538(MSRP of $80,015).
