Dealership burned my whole car with buffer
Just looking for some advice. Local dealership burned the paint on my car. So bad it looks like a map of the Rockies mountains!!! Took it to another dealer they say it will need to be clear coated again, and that may not even work. They also cracked both rocker panel doing its first oil change 12 month old car 1,500 miles. They kept the car 3 months! They refuse to take responsibility saying that's as good as it gets and gm claims that since they are franchised they cannot force them to act.HELP!!!!!!!

Time to get a lawyer and take them to court.

Why did they have your car for 3 months? Did they damage the paint upon dilivery or after? Did you pay them to detail your car?
I'm just trying to understand the whole story here. Sounds like some important details are missing. If a Chevy dealer damaged your car there is a process to engage the GM rep in that area.
Good luck. I hate to read these dealer horror stories.

What's missing? Like Mike02Z, I want to know details. Seems that for the dealer to have had the car for 3 months you would have been aware of any problems. Not trying to slam you, just want the whole picture. If it is the dealers fault then hire a lawyer, but do this only if you are sure that you will win. Don't want a PO'ed dealer coming back at you.

in this day and age where posting pics on a forum is easy as all get out you'd think more people would be doing it, I guess not.

Easy boys😎
I'm new to this so I'll see if I can post pics this started 12-30 15 and I just picked the car up last week more damage was done to the vehicle then just busting marks and cracked rocker panels. I'll i'll try to add the BBB complaint that I made to the post so you can see all the damage and issues I had with the dealership. I have an open complaint with GM I'm working with my local GM representative here in Colorado and a Second GM dealership for a diagnostic an estimate on the damages done to the car for GM. I'm GM loyal this is my 17th GM vehicle and my fourth Corvette. I will Have owned this car exactly 12 months as of April 30 it is 1500 miles on it and it is been in the dealer seven out of those 12 months it is the most frustrated I've ever been with the vet never had problems like this before it's like the dealership does not how to work on the vehicle and I wondered if anybody else was having that kind of trouble or if anybody knew how to deal with his red tape to help me get this resolved. Gm claims they have no control over the body shops at their dealerships and that they cannot force the dealership to do anything that they don't want to do. here are some pics and the whole story😂 I'm trying to insert photos not sure if it will work take it easy on me I've been crying over this for the whole time, just kept my mouth shut because I was afraid to make it worse at the dealership.😁

Melting Slicks
So those vertical lines in the last pic are there at any angle? Looks like the burned some trim pieces too? Why were the buffing the car? Was this an attempt to get rid of orange peel?

OK, thanks for posting photos and your right, the car looks like doo-doo.
I had a similar problem several years ago with a new MR2 I bought for my wife. The dealership fried the paint and refused to accept responsibility for the mess. Took photos of the car at the dealer and went to an attorney. It took about two days after that and the problem was resolved.
I wish you a speedy and good conclusion to this screw up.

an attempt to get rid of trash in the in the paint the The size of quarters the second dealership I took the car to claimed that the new paint for the Camaros and Corvette is coming like House paint that's been sitting in your garage for three years there's so much trash in it that they have to filter it 4 to 5 times before they can even paint a car

In August it was sideswiped by an old man and an RV at a gas station was a minor repair it was just burned to the fiberglass supposed to be a rear quarter repair and a bumper replacement and since they couldn't get the paint to match they ended up blending through the entire doors up to the front fenders
