So, I initially thought I was getting a squeak from the rear of the vehicle due to the Carbotech brake pads I installed. I first noticed the squeak (single high-pitched chirp) after installing them, but then again, I was listening at this point. The squeak was initially heard at about 16-20 mph with light braking, then I realized it would do it even while coasting. It only does it once until the car is again sped up to about 35, then repeat the process. Multiple times I cleaned & greased the brake pads and hardware, swapped inside to outside pads, then swapped right/left pad sets to try and narrow down which wheel this was occurring on. Nothing I did would get rid of the squeak. To the driver, it sounds like it's coming from the back right, to the passenger the back left. When my wife drove and I stood up in the car with the roof off, it almost sounded like it was coming from the middle. Drivetrain? I then put the car in neutral (A8) while driving around 30 mph, and bam - there's the squeak. Back in drive, accelerate a little, back to neutral - squeak. Not the brakes. Still trying to get the complete pattern, but it appears that shifting the car to neutral after applying power (not much at all, just enough to drive the wheels) can cause the squeak. I don't hear it in low gears (was checking it while in manual shift mode). Seems to be more prevalent in gears 4 and up but I can't be certain. The good news is that it's very repeatable which makes it easy to replicate. The bad news is that it's doing it at all. I only take my cars into the dealer as a last resort, but this one may qualify. Any suggestions or ideas that I could pursue to narrow the focus down further? Thanks guys.
Got NPP? Some people have reported squeaking when the baffles open/close.. Does it do it in Tour mode?
'15 Z51 so yes it has NPP. I have the exhaust set to 'track' mode so it should keep the baffles open most of the time. Definitely something I'll check though. Thanks!

Jerry - I owe you a beer. That's exactly what the problem was. Used some caliper grease (high temperature) to lube the metal-to-metal contact points and that solved it. I definitely owe you one
