Anyone else find wheel threads without prices frustrating? I understand they can't post prices sometimes but maybe a hint under XX a wheel.
Big difference from $300 a wheel to $2000 wheel and having to ask every time on each model wheel is annoying. Unless I'm one of the few that shops by price then looks first.
I agree.....One of the reasons i like Forgeline..all their prices on their website, every size and finish prices everything. Also, they are a big concern and keep their delivery dates.
Then i call a wheel vendor and start negotiating.....
As said above,
The vendors that really **** me off of the ones that put the words "deep dish" or "concave" in their titles....then show you all sorts of C6 pictures, and the wheel is totally different on the C7 because they have to be flat as a board.
I only buy my wheels/tires from "Cheaperwheels.gov" You tell them what you want and how much you'll pay, and in a week or 2 you get a call on where to meet them to pick up your new shoes....

Totally agree. Just looked at a thread today and was wondering about pricing. So much easier to just put the pricing up there. Then folks can will know instantly whether its in their price range.
I have a pretty hard rule about not buying from vendors that don't show the pricing up front.
I have a additional rule, I don't buy from vendors that SPAM the general discussion threads AND the general for sale section instead of using the vendor sections set aside for them.
That is code for "pm us so we can try to screw you on price".
If they truly wanted to give the best price they would post it in the thread for everyone to see.
In my FR-S forum I love calling vendors out on this crap because its shady.
I will pm them for best price and then turn around and post my quoted price in the thread and wait to see the flood of responses from others.
Agreed. Any legitimate business will post their pricing up front because they know the cost of production.
"Email for best price" is code for "we'll take the best we can get from you, and we want to try to gouge you first." Generally a tactic used only by shady shops run by < 5 people. Legitimate businesses don't do this, and I won't buy from anyone who does. It's a joke.

If only that were true, all the top ten wheel shops dont post pricing as they can't. Best pricing often is below MAP and thus Manufacturers do NOT ALLOW their Vendors to post their best prices.
Prices for cheap wheels are easy to post but for the High End Wheels these are very expensive and not for everyone and as such the manufacturers don't think pricing should be a major factor in their wheel purchase, even though we all know it is.
For the past 20 years this is the way its been and its not gonna change anytime soon. Everytime we have posted sales pricing some other Vendor complains and manufacturer calls us to pull it down.
So you wont see pricing on wheel threads just wont happen, list pricing sure, but best pricing, absolutely not as no shop is allowed to do that on the high end wheels.
Like it or not its the way it has been and will be
Buy what you want and do your research all you can do
ONE OF TOP AFTERMARKET WHEEL VENDORS IN WORLD, HAVE TO CONTACT FOR PRICING, AND THEY ARE A HUGE SHOP!!! JUST THE WAY IT IS FOR HIGH END WHEELS, NOT THE SAME AS OTHER PARTS, SORRY!!!
And this is a perfect point to close this thread. Manufacturers can and do restrict what vendors can publish. Calling anyone shady because they won't post what they are not allowed to post just doesn't make sense. If they were to post prices below MSRP, they could lose their ability to sell from that manufacturer. No legitimate shop is going to risk that.
