Default Leather Conditioning/Avoiding wrinkles

I have a 2015 AW 3LT with Adrenaline Red seats and i want to know whats the best way to keep the seats from having wrinkles. My car is only 1 month old with 1200 miles and i noticed the driver seat is starting to wrinkle i guess from me sitting and driving it. Any tips on how to keep the seats wrinkle free? Sorry for the noob question, this is my first corvette.

I don't think there's a way to avoid wrinkles on the seats, especially around the outer lower seat cushion bolster. Any conditioner or protectant you put on the leather won't get past the coating on the leather.

The finest leather conditioner out there is Bick 4

Amazon.com : Bickmore Bick 4 Leather Conditioner 8 Ounces : Horse Saddle Accessories : Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com : Bickmore Bick 4 Leather Conditioner 8 Ounces : Horse Saddle Accessories : Sports & Outdoors

I use it literally on anything leather. Whatever you put it on is vastly improved and conditioned.

Try it, and thank me later.

The product I suggested costs 8 bucks-not 65. And can be used for all sorts of leather. I use it on my cowboy boots and couches too.

If you find it doesn't work so well because of some coating on your car seats, use it for other crap.

Leather on the seats will wrinkle no matter if you sit on the seat or not. Lexol makes some very good leather products. Go to their on line site and read up on their process. As mentioned, the leather on our seats has a coating that protects the leather and some on the forum have said that the leather products will not get past the coating. I just wipe mine off and use Lexol Leather Cleaner if they get dirty.

Consider using the Lexol brand of cleaner and conditioner. I have used this product for many years with great success.

Here is another site that might help in addition to what Glen e posted above.

Hope this helps fellow C7 owners.

My experience has been (with coated or uncoated) that the wrinkles aren't a problem as long as you keep dirt out of them. Once you allow dirt down into the wrinkles, then the wear becomes cracks. So keep them clean, using a product of your choice.

Wondering about the wrinkles you have. My car's seat material developed what could be described as wrinkles (perforated area lower seat back), actually leather laminate was separating, noticed incidentally at 1,200. Repaired under warranty. Post pictures. My car's seat now has no wrinkles at 3,000 miles. see photos, before and repaired

There some inexpensive products that work. Perhaps the article that Glen referenced is correct stating, “Most leather upholstery in American cars is plastic coated and conditioners won’t do anything.” For that they recommend A303 Aerospace Protectant. I use that on the vinyl seats on my pontoon boat. May be fine but it's not a "leather conditioner" and I’m not sure about it's use on my Napa leather Kalahari seats in my 3LT. That article said for “Uncoated leather use a quality leather conditioner.” Have used many of these in the past but recently bought Zaino Z-9 Leather Cleaner ($10) and Z-11 Leather Conditioner ($12) and believe they are worth the price.
As a testimonial, my wife came and asked me what she could do about the Jean stains on new BMW X5 SUV with top on the line Ivory White Dakota Leather seats (they were on the car we bought off the showroom and should be top of the line for the cost! ) She has never asked me about cleaning anything, not my bag! I tried the Zaino Z-9 and the blue satin was completed gone. Now she is in my Zaino stash! Applied the Z-11 and the seats felt great. I use it on the Vette and not a crack or wrinkle in over 5000 miles. Although I often wear Jeans I have not had any stains; although mine are well warn compared to my wife’s.
