Default Tips on taking delivery?

This will be my first time ever taking delivery of a car from the factory. I'm looking for advice from others who are familiar with the process. What things should I be on the lookout for? What things should I just accept, and what things should I say, no way, make this right before I sign for it.

Things you should know when offering advice. This is a courtesy delivery, my dealer is in KY.. I live in the sticks. The only major cites near me for a courtesy delivery are Vegas (2 hours), Phoenix (3 hours), or SoCal (5 hours). My dealer found me a place in Phoenix. So when offering suggestions please keep in mind of the following.

1. I'm a 3 hour drive to get there.
2. A hotel room and overnight stay in Phoenix will be necessary.
3. I can stay an extra night or two in Phoenix if needed, as I will have several days off from work after I pick up the car (assuming I pick it up on a Sunday as planned).
4. A one way rental car will be needed.

So again, I ask what should I be on the lookout for? Based on my drive time, hotel room, and rental car, what things should I demand get taken care of before taking custody of the car, and what things should I say "it's not worth the effort, time, money, etc."

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Eric
