Default How to determine MSRC?

If an original owner didn't save the window sticker and they're not corvette freaks like us... How can you determine if it has magnetic ride?

It is a z51... 2014... And loaded 3lt. But how would you confirm it's mag ride or not?

You can get a window sticker from the corvette museum.

look at the top of front shocks, under hood, if it has a cable coming out they are mag shocks

Mag ride is standard on Z51.

Wrong - must have Z51 to be able to order mag ride.

Must have Z51 to order mag ride but not every Z51 came with it.

Every Chevy has a decal showing each RPO including options installed on that individual Chevy.

If your Z51 has magnetic selective ride control you should be able to notice a difference in the ride between Tour, Sport and Track. If you aren't on a bumpy road, cycle through those three settings while turning the wheel sharply back and forth--if you have MSRC you will be able to tell the three different suspension settings. Really.

Have fun!

On the decal look for RPO code FE4 - that is the one which indicates magnetic ride control

Default mag ride

Those with mag ride have black shocks and those without have yellow. Learned that at Spring Mountain.

To be concise, here are the ways to determine if you have MRSC.

1. Under the hood the top of the shocks will have a small black wire coming out of the top of the shock / shock mount.
2. MRSC shocks are black, standard shocks are yellow. Best seen from the rear, just look under the car.
3. FE4 code on the RPO sticker under the carpet in the rear
4. Go into Track mode and double press the traction control button, if additional modes show up such as wet, dry, sport 1, sport 2 and race then you have MRSC.
