I just got my Carbon Flash front and rear emblems, stingray emblems & rear CF Corvette badge. How do you recommend removing the existing emblems and badges. Thanks, Mike
Use dental floss or fishing line to cut through the foam mounting tape and remove the old badges, then use Goo Gone and a microfiber towel to remove the remaining adhesive.
There was a post last week on this very subject that had several tips. Also there have been other posts in the past with pictures. Suggest you do a search for best info. You will live the look. All the best with the project.

I heated mine and used fishing line. Still had a lot of residue left and it took several hours to do all the badges. Not something I wanted, but hated the chrome.
Fishing line to "saw" them off. Be sure to keep the line tension pulled toward you so that the line stays against the emblem and not the paint. Then use your fingers to get as much remaining residue off as possible. You can usually get a corner started, then pull the foam up and AWAY from the remaining stuck foam (not peeling it back over as you would pulling tape off something). Then use goo-gone and terricloth or microfiber towel to get the rest of the residue off. It also helps to create little templates to mark the originals for the side stingrays. I used the new carbon flash ones to trace onto some blue masking tape, then cut it out with a razor. YouTube has many how to videos and below is a pic of my stingray emblem. You'll also want to somehow mark off the existing "CORVETTE" emblem as to get the new one back in the right spot. Also, if you have a darker car, be especially careful when you are rubbing with a cloth to remove the residue as this can cause swirl marks.
why would you not wash, wax and polish before replacing the badges?
Wax or polish will keep the new badges from adhering to the paint like they should. Completely clean the area with alcohol before applying the new badges, then wax away!

Because wax will keep the new badges from adhering to the vehicle! Seems pretty common sense. In fact, as stated above, you need to use alcohol to clean anything that might be left on the car such as wax, goo-off or anything else for proper adhesion.
