OK, I did RTFM, but it doesn't say HOW you set the mirrors, it just says you can. Well, I did once, but I can't remember how I did it! It must require that the car be in reverse, but after that what?

Not in the car at the moment, but I did find this the other day while sitting in the car playing with the buttons. Its in the settings menu...I think under "Vehicle".

First off I haven't tried it, but it makes sense because of the manuals description.
The manual references your seats memory position. In order for the rear view tilt to work you must have memory seats.
I would bet some of my favorite donuts that if your car is equipped with memory seats and you set the seats and mirrors, when you put the car in reverse, assuming that you used YOUR designated key that the mirror will tilt in reverse from your programmed position.....this is my WAG....but it makes sense...I would try it but I am out of state for work and the car is at home.......

It is a feature you have to turn on or off in settings. You can choose no tilt, passenger only, driver only or both.

The engine has to be running, then access the settings and look for "vehicle" under that menu you will find the tilt mirrors option. You have a choice of driver/passenger/both.

All of the statement are TRUE....
YES they will tilt when you put the car in Reverse, IF you have memory seats.
but for them to actually tilt, you go into the SETTINGS menu, then VEHICLE, Comfort and Convenient section you will find settings for Reverse Tilt Mirror. This allows the feature to be turned on or off.
Select Off, On - Driver and Passenger, On - Driver, or On - Passenger.
Its real handy if you back into parking spots in a parking lot....BUT here is the catch, there are times that you are backing up and want to look straight back.....like when I'm backing out of my garage.....I want to look at the edge of the garage and not hit the mirror....NOT looking at the floor! I wish there was a switch on the dash to select, not have to go through the set up every time.

This should help, depending on which side of the garage is most critical, "You can choose no tilt, passenger only, driver only or both."

Thanks for all the responses, but no one has answered the question, probably because I didn't ask it right. I know how to get the mirrors to tilt, but how do you adjust them once they're tilted? One side goes down too far and I want to move it up.

Select the option you want, drivers mirror, passenger mirror or both, adjust your mirrors in reverse.
When done, put in drive, hold the memory button on the door so the mirrors return to your pre-set memory for driving.
That's all.

So............shall I assume no one has an answer for this REVISED question......?

Excuse me but I'm terribly confused. I go into the Settings and selection I want - let's say both. You say when done put it in "drive". Please translate for us manual trans people - What is "drive" that you speak of? i mean I now have (count 'em) 7 gears that I can call drive...
And when you say "hold the memory button on the door so the mirrors return to your pre-set memory for driving" please try to be precise. Which "memory button" do you speak of? I ask because I have "Set", "1", "2" and "Exit". That's 4 buttons. I need to be able to distinguish which button to depress.
Next "so that the mirrors return to your pre-set-memory" I'm sorry but my mirrors did not move.

My wife's CTS mirrors tilts down when in reverse and I hate it- very distracting when trying to back out of the garage when looking for door clearance. I'll have to check to see if it can be changed. I think the C7 has poor rearward visibility therefore the mirrors will stay up. If i need to see curb clearance I will manually tilt them. To the OP- sorry I know this doesn't answer your question.
I honestly didn't even know the car had this feature. That's pretty cool. But the "ghetto" way works just fine for me.
When I drive normally, I have my mirrors tilted out so I have no blind spots. I have that set to memory setting 1. I have memory setting 2 set to where it goes straight back and tilts slightly towards the ground.
Anytime I get home or I'm backing into a spot, I just hold 2 and let the mirrors shift. Then when I'm leaving, I just hold 1 so the mirrors shift to their normal driving position. Takes all of half of a second so now it's just second nature to me when I'm driving.

AFAIK, there is no way to adjust them to where you want them to be for reverse. They tilt a pre-determined amount, so where they end up is determined by where you have your mirrors set for driving forward.
page 2-20 in the 2014/15 OM:
"Interior Mirrors Interior Rearview Mirrors

If equipped with the memory package, the outside mirrors have a reverse tilt feature. This feature tilts
the outside mirrors to a preselected position when the vehicle is in
R (Reverse). This allows the driver to view the curb for parallel parking."
The word "preselected" is vague at best; do they mean that the driver can select it, or do they mean it is preselected for you? I've played around with it, setting it in all gears, turning it off before setting, etc..., but no matter where, when, or how I set it, it tilts down the same amount (from the set point) when put into reverse.
I've searched, but nowhere does the OM explain it any more fully (it it mentioned again on p. 5-49), so unless That Cute Ginger can come with a solution, I don't think it is adjustable.
