More or less. It's simply something that should be standard in a 55k plus msrp vehicle.
Now the big question remains is whether or not they'll allow a replacement for the '14 and '15s for no cost as a customer satisfaction program for those that want it. It is a complete embarrassment for the design team to have ever gone with the wire when they had a system that worked flawlessly.

I really like the new Z06 wheels. The Spice red will look good with the new dark metallic red color. Will be interesting to see how the top looks. I've always wanted a red top on white, but this will be more of a burgundy top which will clash with Adrenaline red.
The cameras are fugly, but it sounds like you can still get it without them, and overall I'd say this is a nice batch of changes. Several things in there I'd like.

Given their track record on retro.....this is me holding my breath....not...
Sounds like the front parking assist is similar to Curb Alert, which many of us have installed on our cars. I wonder how much extra GM will charge for this option or if it will be part of the 2LT & 3LT packages?
It is buried a few links through, from the Z06 listing, but text is:
MyLink enhancement details
Advanced phone integration technology in the 2016 Corvette Stingray provides owners a simple and intuitive way to use their compatible smartphone in their vehicle. It integrates certain phone functions onto the 8-inch-diagonal color touchscreen, allowing users to call up music, navigation apps and more.
Once the phone is plugged in to the MyLink USB port, users call up music (saved or streaming), travel/map apps and other apps using the MyLink touchscreen, leaving the phone safely stowed – and avoiding the need for the driver to take his or her eyes off the road. Using voice commands built into a smartphone, drivers can also dictate and hear text messages hands-free.
A projection icon on the MyLink screen is visible when a phone is not connected. The icon changes to indicate a specific technology brand name when a phone is connected. The user can enter advanced phone integration mode and exit to other MyLink settings and menus, while continuing to stream music or audible navigation directions from a compatible phone.
Complementing MyLink to enhance connectivity is OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. It provides a mobile hub for drivers and passengers to stay connected. The hotspot is on whenever the vehicle is on.
I suggested to a GM product rep that they somehow allow users to incorporate Waze into the NAV system- maybe they have!
