Default Help needed with Remote Keyless Entry.

Please remind me to never buy two very complicated electronic devices in the same week and try and have my pea brain figure out how to work them both at the same time.

So the C7 showed up Tuesday, and I was thrilled. Two days before that I finally entered the modern era and bought my first smart phone, a Galaxy Note 4. Between the two I think my mind will blow up any second.

Anyhow, simple question which I just can't figure out on the Corvette. (This is my first car that didn't just use a plain old key!)

And yes, I have read the manual numerous times on the subject, done many searches and read the posts on this forum, viewed the help videos on Youtube time and time again........and I just don't get it. I'm not seeing the forest for the trees.

All I want to do is set up the car so that when I walk away from it I know 100% that it's locked, that's all. Sounds simple enough, but apparently I am so stupid or missing something. I have tried configuring all combinations in the car......through the settings menu but can't get it to work the way I want.

I don't want to push the button on the remote to lock it, I just want to walk away and have it lock, and it would be nice to hear the horn beep or see the lights flash (or both) to confirm it's locked also.

Any simple (or complicated, I don't care) solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

This seemingly simple setup is driving me nuts! (And here I thought setting up the seat memory and entry/exit was going to be the hard part. That was a piece of cake!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TNSQUIRE,

Thanks so much. Apparently I never scrolled down far enough on the menue to see the setting I needed. I knew there had to be a simple answer. Again, forest and trees stuff.

Thanks again, worked like a champ and exactly as I had wanted.

How did you do with the memory seat programming? That should be the next puzzle that many still haven't solved.

I watched the "That Cute Ginger" Video for the 2014, and then the Youtube video for the 2015........then figured out they changed the procedure in 2015, extrapolated the two videos together, read the 2015 manual from my car, took the square root of the hypotenuse, (you can disregard that last part) and poof, it worked!!!
