any difference between makers are far as quality/fit goes? Im not looking for true carbon fiber units if that helps. I have the gm front splitter, figured I'd get some side skirts and do it all at the same time. Don't really needs body color painted, would prefer black or carbon flash. Please let me know what vendor I should be looking at, or are they all kinda the same just different materials? thanks

Forum sponsor C7 Carbon has fiberglass side skirts that look exactly the same (same shape) as the ZO6 ones for $389 shipped. They come primered in flat black ready to paint or you can leave them and they'll be a close match to your gm front splitter.
Just had installed RPI Z06 carbon flash side skirts to match the package on my Artic White C7. They look great also had a z06 grille installed by the dealer.

I have the RPI zo6 sides skirts and the install is very easy and match up perfect . The install only takes 10-15 min a side .

I have side skirts from RPI on my 2015 Arctic White. Purchased their Stage II with the carbon flash metallic coating which matches the trim on the C7. Love the look, lots of compliments and they really protect the rocker panels from road debris. Cost $630.00 and RPI does a great job packaging for shipment.
Another vote for Don at RPI. I put Stage I skirts on last week and they look fantastic. RPI's skirts look like they are handmade. Very high quality, fit, and finish. Shipped to my door for around $575.

I spent time researching what I thought was "the best quality" for the best price. Made the conclusion that it would be very hard to beat the GTX Z06 Inspired Fibergalss Side Skirts. So I ordered a set and installed them myself.
These are sold by C7carbon.com......CF member pricing has been at $389.00 delivered.

I did splitter, front and rear mudguards(painted them CF), added WeaponX skirts from Ben already painted, also added Z06 grille, total of about 3 hr install. No problem with foot hitting skirt getting in and out by old geezers. Fit was fine all around.

RPI is the one I choose after researching them for several months. It took us about 35 mins to put both sides on. FIT WAS PERFECT, paint was great (Carbon Flash Metallic), and only a couple of holes to drill. EASY PEASY....
RPI Design does great job, takes about 4 to 5 weeks to get product, but worth the wait. Price and quality both are what RPI is all about.
Suggest you talk to Don, he is ready to help you out...

Yes, I painted the C7Carbon Z06 side skirts skirts myself.
These skirts are sent pre-primed ready for painting. I lightly sanded the surface with 600 grit wet sandpaper, then went to 2000 grit wet sandpaper, applied another coat of primer, re sanded the same way, then applied 2 coats of Carbon Mist Metallic paint and 2 coats of gloss Clear Coat. Polished and buffed the finish with Meguiars M205. They turned out great. It was a 2 day process taking my time to let each coat dry and took about 2 hours total of my time to complete and installed them myself, about 25 minutes on each side. Total cost to paint about $20.00(+-) for the materials.

How many additional holes, per side, did you have to drill to install?

golddog:
The C7Carbon side skirts come pre-drilled. There are three pre-drilled holes in the front behind the rear of the front tire. These holes simply use the OEM GM washer screws and are easy to remove and re-install with 7mm socket or spinner. In the rear of the side skirt in front of the rear tire, there are 2 OEM GM washer screws that are removed and re-installed.
Then in between the side skirts are also pre-drilled. It required me drilling about 5 more holes into the rocker panel itself between the front and rear pre-drilled holes. I drilled 5/16" holes and used the GM plastic scrivets which simply push up into the new holes drilled then they lock into place.
I had to raise the car about 10" with my floor jack to make room for the drill.
Only caution for installation of any side skirt brand......about 6" in front of the rear tire and another 12" in, there is the aluminum chassis frame rail. You can drill into the chassis as there is no wiring inside the frame if you choose, or you can go beyond the 12" and drill past the chassis. That is what I did.
Overall I ended up using the 5 OEM GM washer screws already in the rocker panel and used 5 more scrivets that I bought myself.
Hope this helps and hope everyone understand the process to install the C7carbon Z06 style side skirts.

nmvettec7, thanks for the detailed write up. I do like the look and price of the C7Carbon's.
I understand that side skirts provide some aerodynamic functionality on the track, but every time I see one of these threads, I am amazed at how GM has so many people convinced that these look good on a street car.
They do provide some protection against rock chips on the rocker panels, but I cannot imagine ever putting these on my car.
