Default Bluetooth CD player connectivity

I listen to books on CDs in my car. Has anyone found a portable CD player with Bluetooth connectivity that will work with the 2015 C7?

Or, a portable CD player that can be played through the car's speakers?

Much appreciated,

Jim

Rip disc to digital format and then play it via USB/phone/etc.

I asked the question about a USB CDROM on here awhile back and someone mentioned they did get it working but it had a rather slow response to chaning tracks ect. I accidently stepped on mine a couple years ago and never got anther one since it's not something I used much.

Might be easier to get a decently large SD Card and use your computer and rip CDs to it. Most modern PCs and macs have an SDcard slot. A USB reader is cheap if you need one. This was my plan once I got my car, but I've been drinking from a fire hose with XM and Pandora and haven't gotten around to trying the SD card slot

Or go old school grab one of the portable CD players out there and use the 1/8" mini headphone jack on the C7 to listen....

I get the books on CD from the library. No way to burn them. I hate to go old school with earbuds because I think it makes driving more dangerous.

Much appreciated,

Jim

Like I said the first time, any physical media can be copied and then placed onto a new source (phone/usb stick/etc)

Google is your friend it's real easy to do

Well I have an AIWA portable CD player model XP-55 that has EASS ( Electronic anti shock system ) you would have to use the ear phone jack to the mini round jack like the one in the arm rest In 1994 there weren't any blue tooth plyers and I doubt you could find any !!! The player is about 6" X 6" !!! Wayne

Apparently, I can transfer a library book on CD to a thumb drive. I will just have to find a huge thumb drive as some of the books are 20 discs in length!

Thanks,

Jim

Don't need as big as you think. A $7 8GB stick would probably hold 5 books that size assuming a 160kbit/sec rip.

I have all 7 Harry Potter books (not small) on a 16GB SD card and it's not full. My only problem is they won't sort in order. I think I'll need to rename the files in alphabetical order.

Or, talk to your library about making the audio books available on SD or thumb drive.

If you get books from Audible.com and download them to the Audible app, they will play seamlessly via Bluetooth through the audio system in your car. As I recall, you can get a book for free on their site to try out.
