Default Side Skirts

After getting some comments from valued friends about intalling side skirts on my car, I wanted to see how they look in person. Since I have not seen any on the C7 in my area, I guess I will settle for what photos forum members will share.

If it is all posible, can you share close up photos of your side skirts? I mainly would like to see if they are flat or do they have a slight angle downward and how much they extend from the kicker panel. thank you..

From RPI installed the side rails 2 weeks ago and the splitter with diffusers last weekend. Took about 35 - 40 minutes each.

Thank you for sharing your photos. Are they mounted using existing hardware?

Nice to see I am not the only one who "De-Badge" their car. It presents a cleaner line without the "ray" on the side and the "corvette" on the rear. NICE LOOKING CAR..

The side rails required drilling, about 10-12 per side, but easy to do. The splitter fits over existing holes and uses the existing screws.

They are all different. Mine are Carbon Fiber and contoured vertically as seen in the photo's. Mine use two factory bolts near the front and rear. That positions them so you can drill and rivet the center close to the edge so they fit tight. The center factory bolts are too far inboard for a quality fit. Those sold that way usually use a two sided tape.

RPI Z06 style, fiberglass with carbon flash. you can get them in real carbon fiber but if they get damaged, they're not repairable like fiberglass. Install alignment only uses one existing factory screw in front, so need a helper to get the alignment & drilling going. Drill holes for about a dozen screws on each side. I was a bit squeamish about drilling into the rocker panel, but it's the same way the Z06 OEM skirts are installed by the PDI guy at the dealer. They are not installed at the factory.

Anyone sell cheap side skirts the same color and material as the cheapie Z06 splitter? I wouldn't mind putting some on to prevent more rock chips but everything is $500+ with crazy shipping.

Z06 Stage II from RPI

I bought the straight edge skirts from RPI already painted in carbon flash metallic. You need to drill about 10 holes (1/8") on each rocker panel for installation. These were far less $$$ than the carbon fiber types and I personally like the straight look over the curved Z07 styles.

I do not have any pics but I put on the C7Carbon brand and DID NOT NEED TO DRILL any extra holes. Used existing hardware and some 3M double stick tape.

FYI , I installed ACS Front Splitter and Side Skirts with the OEM fasteners and some body clips....no holes drilled.
