There are limits on what speed class you can run the first year no matter how well equipped your car is, and there are limits based on the car and its equipment regardless of how extensive your racing experience is.
Oh, and take it from me, if you want to run it you should fax your application on Jan 1 as the field fills up very quickly. Then make hotel reservations since the choices are pretty limited in Ft. Stockton.

Thanks! I've been reading the 2015 info and it's answering a lot of my questions. First timers are limited to grand touring and that sounds like it's about right in my comfort zone. Haven't been through Ft. Stockton in years, but I am sure you are right about hotels...
