Default C7 and the Ferrari 599GTO SIDE BY SIDE

Met one of my car friends today and took some photos of his Ferrari Model 599GTO, and my C7 Stingray. Of all the Ferraris this one seems to be the closest I think to the C7 look alike. Though this would be of some interest to all of you..here are the photos..

The profile of the Stingray coupe and the 599 are very similar. Rest of the car, and verts, not as much.

While I would love to have the Ferrari, I think the Stingray is by far the better looking of the two. The Ferrari is stuck in the past, the 'vette is leaping boldly into the future.

Where is the drag race video? That is where the fun comparisons really start!

Really be interesting, if we could see the MSRPs on both vehicles.

You have to keep in mind that the 599 series started in 2006 and ended in 2012. The F12 that replaced it does have a lot of similar styling to the C7.

Nice pics, but that's not a GTO. That's a "regular" 599 GTB Fiorano.

You seem to display the ignorance of far too many Corvette owners.

Ferraris are not designed do do 0-60 as so many Americans seem to be obsessed with.

Now, before you get your shorts in a knot I've been driving Corvettes as daily drivers for 26 years - 600,000+ miles.... my C7 already has 15K on it and I've only had it four months...

My 28 year-old 328 B-model Ferrari is slow by today's standards: 0-60 in about 6 seconds, top speed but about 165. But, oh! Oh! how it handles in those twisties!

My C6 with Z51 did not handle nearly as well as my 28-year-old Ferrari. The C7 is the first Corvette that I can say, "Wow, that handles well."

Also, I get to drive my Ferrari and watch it appreciate... my Corvettes don't do that.

The OP was simply presenting side by side photos of two very fine automobiles.... not looking for the all too common and childish "Where is the drag race video?" comment (way of thinking.)

Real car people love cars - even Tatras and Trabants and old Fiats, and ______.

You might enjoy this video. As I suggested above, it's nice to see MSRP versus MSRP while putting vehicles against one another. I've yet to see anything compete with the C7 for the $$$.

the corvettes are IMO the best looking, and fastest cars for the money.

Even if a corvette or Z06 corvette is better looking, or faster than a high end exotic. They do not have the exotic presence. corvettes are common cars that the working class can maybe afford.

the high end exotics are much more than just a 0-60 number. You feel like a rock star driving one.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, which went into production before the C7, is the car some believe the newest Corvette resembles. You decide.

The front of the Ferrari likes like a new style Thunderbird, the rear end looks like a Lexus.

I'll take your C7 Vette over your friends Ferrari and save tens of thousands of dollars to buy a few more C7's in a coupe model and a few different colors.

Thanks for posting the photos, this comparison was very interesting indeed.

My coupe is the same color combo as 1KulC7. I was stopped at an intersection next to a Red Berlinetta that had a black stinger on the hood. We looked like twins.

The Vette looks a whole lot more aggressive at a whole lot lower price.
