I am currently in the middle of a trip from Florida to New Hampshire and back and I got hit with a rock which cracked my windshield. I have a fish eye the size of a quarter.
Has anyone had their windshield replaced yet? I did a search but could not find any posts about this topic.
I'm concerned since the C7 is so new, the glass companies will not have any experience with them yet.

Yes. Had mine replaced in 2nd month. $950 for OEM windshield.
There have been threads about getting the windshield replaced, but not a lot of them. I'd insist on genuine GM replacement, and the HUD equipped cars have a different part number I believe.
Isn't there also a concern about the Nav System or PDR wiring which goes through the rearview mirror? I remember a thread many moons ago discussing a rearview mirror issue when replacing the windshield.
Thanks for the replies! I will insist on a GM replacement.
I was considering having MacMulkin fix it while I'm up here in NH but I'm concerned if there is a problem with leaking later it would be difficult to get corrected. As long as it does not spider out, I will get it fixed back in Florida at Stingray Chevrolet.
Had mine replaced with less then 500 miles. Because the car was so new, there were no aftermarket windshields available. My dealer actually ordered the new windshield. He used the build sheet to get the GM part number. This happened last September.
The guy came to my house, took his time and did a great job. His only problem was removing the rearview mirror. The dealer had no idea how to do this, but he looked at the new windshield and figured it out himself.
I watched him do the work and it looked pretty painless. Take out a few screws, pop out some parts, break the seal and remove the windshield. Obviously, he made it look easy.
Just get a reputable business to do the work and you should not have any problems.
Be sure to protect your A-pillars from getting scratched by the installer.
We just had the windshield replaced on our GLK and the idiot scratched the black painted strip portion of the A Pillar. First time ever that I did not observe the procedure of an installer putting a new windshield on one of my cars. Big mistake.
When the day comes to have the windshield replaced on my C7 I was thinking of covering both A Pillars with 2" wide masking tape.
I have had one in mine for almost 8 months now, I have the HUD and it must effect how the windshield "binds"the glass and does not let the crack "spider" out since it has not grown at all. I had the wife's Altima replaced yesterday and that crack grew 4 inches a day !! I asked the Saflite guy about the C7 glass and he indicated that it was available, was noted to be a PIA install.

There are Safelite AutoGlass stores all over the US. They know the business.
A small rock hit mine last Thursday on the passenger side of the windshield about two thirds of the way up. It created a small bulls eye the size of a dime and one very small crack. I called My State Farm agent Friday morning and they recommended I try to have it repaired with the understanding that I could opt for a new windshield if I was not satisfied.
By 1:00 PM the repair van was at my house, it took him about a half hour to complete the repair, and aside from a very small blemish the size of a pin head, it looks like new. Very happy with the results!

I'd still have to have the window replaced. I couldn't live with the pin hole blemish.

Had are recent replacement with my almost new Nissan Murano and they did an excellent job! They were even on top of the "rain sensor" technology in the windshield....
I get mine replaced at 8am tomorrow morning by Safelite. Keeping my fingers crossed it goes smooth.
safelite was able to fix a quarter sized rock ding and make it invisible. Even in the center of the HUD display. This was on a c7 with 2800 miles repaired within hours or rock hitting. I'd ask them to try repair with the understanding that if you are not happy you can opt for replacement.
You never know when that next rock is coming that will smash it beyond repair.

I wish I could go that route, but it's cracked across the windshield already. One rock about the size of my fist hit the window towards the bottom center of the glass. See photos.
When it first happened:
Minutes later you can see how it split towards both sides:
