Default Alarm System

I am going to take the Vette on the Auto Train from Fl to Va next week.
I will be leaving the FOB in the car. The Auto Train instructions says to turn-off the alarm system so it doesn't go off and kill the battery during the trip. I will be leaving the key fob in the car. That should stop the alarm from going off, right?

check your manual, but I believe the button on dash to the right of rear hatch is alarm disable.
page 2-18 ...http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam...ers-manual.pdf

Intrusion and Inclination
Sensors Disable Switch
It is recommended that the intrusion
and inclination sensors be
deactivated if pets are left in the
vehicle or the vehicle is being
transported.
With the vehicle turned off, press d
to the right of the hatch/trunk
release button. The indicator light
will come on momentarily, indicating
that these sensors have been
disabled for the next alarm system
arming cycle

Thank you. The manual describes how the alarm indicator light reacts to different situations. Just went to the garage, started the car, turned it off and left the key fob in the car (as I will do at the train station) and the alarm indicator light did not come on. Looks like the system does not arm with the key fob in the car. Problem solved. Will not worry about a dead battery. Thanks again.
