C7 widebody kit

True and True. For the record, I took no offense. I just deal with people slowly bleeding money on upgrades they didn't research all the time, and usually turn away those jobs now because they tend to end up that way.
Performance modifications definitely never reap a return.
I'm looking forward to seeing your new kit completed and painted. If you ever need a donor car C5, let me know.

Most people don't spend on paint what I spent on MATERIALS. Sad.
PPG Envirobase T407/409.
PPG Envirobase Custom Pearl drop coat
PPG 750 Series Clear
Full color change (except hood, going CF)
And it's outfitted with Depot Projectors now.

The car in my example was $41k, converted.
Understand that our customers are going for enhanced aesthetics... but, IF the customer cared about having the performance upgrades as well, AND they could afford to do so...
- ZR1 brakes w/iron rotors +$5k
- Eforce Supercharger +$8k
- ZR1 (or more aggressive) cam - $1k
- Suspension +$3k
Total - $58k
Considering the customer can afford either / or, its a savings of $20-25k on average no matter how you cut it... ZR1's are not going up in value. They're not rare. They have done nothing but drop in value, just as every other C3-C7 Corvette has since its MSRP. Not to mention, the customer buying our ZR6X or GT6X kit doesn't want a clone of a ZR1, they want something much more aggressive, which is what we offer.
Anyway, thanks for the compliments!

I feel bad for the people who are duped. End of the day I'm just like you. My wheels are worth 1/3 of my car. The VALUE of the paint job, probably as much as the car. Plus my brakes, suspension, upgraded leafs, sway bars, stereo and on and on. but i dont expect a return. It's getting parked next to the empty spot for my C7 when I'm ready.
I wish I could spray other products. California is a bee-otch and per my VOCs, I have to use an approved waterbourne. So it's PPG or Dupont and Dupon can suck AND lick it. Haha!
PS The Vette above is WICKED. ::drool::
