Default Double Beep

While parked, there is a double beep that occurs after the C7 is turned off for 15 minutes and every 15 minutes after that. It's not from the horn, and is a computer type sound. I've unsuccessfully searched the Owner's Manual, Infotainment Manual and this forum for information. Any recommendations as the cause or the cure? Thanks in advance for any suggestions .

Does this happen when you're still in the car, with your fob, or when you're outside? Is there a fob left in the car, or close enough for the car to recognize it? Locked or unlocked?

I've not noticed mine ever doing this, so I don't know. Just trying to narrow the possibilities.

Meyerweb,
Thanks for your response. Your question on whether it happens while I'm still in the car lead to the solution to the mystery. The short explanation is that it wasn't the C7. The beeping was the low battery warning coming from the Verizon fios box located in the garage next to the car. From inside the garage, the beeping seemed to come from the car. In the defense of my own stupidity, my wife, son and two neighbors heard the beeping at various times while in the garage and wanted to know why the C7 was beeping. Having said that, I'm still feeling stupid. Anyway, thanks again.

That is funny. With all the techno gadgets we have in our lives, it's easy to get confused what is beeping at us now! Ugh!

I had one of those FIOS boxes in my basement. Took me a week or longer to figure out where that stupid beeping was coming from. What's even stupider is that Verizon expected me to pay to replace their battery, that I had been renting for 4 years. Guess what? I no longer have FIOS, and they no longer get more of my money.
