Default Things just got real, I'm at 2000!!!

1100 felt so preliminary.

2000 as of this morning has me giddy with excitement!

Here's my build:

2LT
Arctic White exterior including body color roof & mirrors
No spoiler
New silver painted dual spoke wheels
Two tone Adrenaline Red interior
A8
NPP
Nav/PDR

I'm not going to get anything done today. I only have one thing on my mind, and it's white.

Congrats, I know how you feel, now it is a waiting game until the TPW is provided and your dream car gets built!

2015 or 2016?

Never mind, I see the reference to the new double spoke wheels, it's a 2016. I'm waiting for confirmation on my order today as well. Congrats!

My order is identical specs but a different color combo; LB with Grey interior.

I think it goes to 3000 in a day or 2 as well. By now though, unless BG gets hit by an asteroid or something, your car is getting made whether you want it or not.

Your car will be at 3800 (Vehicle Produced) before you know it. Its like waiting on your first child to be born. I really like A/W with red interior. I hope you car will be delivered by truck.

Mine went to 2000 also.

When can we expect a TPW?

According to my records I got a tpw about 15 days after it went 2000. Car was built 8 days after that. Delivery by truck to courtesy dealer was 21 days after it was built.

I'm right there with you for a 2016 order. I was at 1100 and as of today it went to 2000.
Just like you said - it did feel so preliminary at 1100. Now it's really starting to feel like the real deal. My order is at Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring Maryland.
Let the journey begin!

Got my Chev email today that my 2016 order has been accepted. Production won't begin for another month, is it typical for Chev to accept orders this early?

Yes. An order typically goes to event code 2000 roughly a month before the car is built.

First congrats! I ordered mine 12/12/2014 and it went straight to status 2000. Rolled off the line 2/2/2015 and that included the Christmas shutdown (2 weeks+). It was in Oklahoma 2 days later.

You will LOVE the A8. I ordered mine without the spoiler but snagged one on Ebay for $400 already painted with GM factory paint. If you need advice installing spoiler later, I did my own install. Also installed the Z06 grill. Fun fun!!!

Quick updates in the chat from the GM site are awesome!

Thank you everyone!

I don't think it has really sunk in yet. I'm even more excited because ordering a 2016 comes with a few unknowns and potential surprises:

1. What will the base wheels in silver look like?
2. Will my car have CarPlay?
3. How are the curb view cameras going to work?
4. What will the red and black two tone interior look like?

This is all very exciting and a bit mysterious!

Congrats! So 3000 and a month to go for startup?

Do we think they are going to start 2016 titling a little earlier than planned?

If they haven't published prices by then maybe you get it free?
