There was a thread here a while back about replacing the airbag decals with ones from Corvette Mods. They looked good in the pictures so I purchased them. As a FYI these things were awful cheap paper type decals. I immediately returned mine. With a little difficulty they refunded my money.
I did take off the warning decals and it looks much better with just the black. There is some minor ghosting but still looks okay. Tried the remedies recommended by others to get all the glue off but not totally successful.
Anyway, I recommend staying away from the paper decals.
I bought them, and they do the job for me. I have no regrets, after all what did you expect, nothing more than a black decal. Installed and covers it up, what else do you want it to do? I am very happy with mine from RPI.....

buy the ones from Great Lakes Trophy..the owner is the one who does all the plaques for Museum Delivery and has been from the C5 onward. You won't be dissappointed, trust me.

I ordered the Corvette Logo with mine. Looks much better than just the black sticker over the existing stickers.
The logos also hide the imperfections that flash through the thin material.
Like several I put on some vinyl (CF-like) from one of the forum vendors and they work but have a little problems sticking to the fabric on the edges. They stick great to the underlying GM sticker but are raised from the edges a bit. I haven't figured out what I want to do about that yet.

Eh? I see they have mounts for radar detectors but not something to cover the air bag decals?
Well, I have to concur with the others. I also bought them from a forum dealer and yes, they are just a "paper" covering.
I even paid "extra" for what I thought would be a good match to the visor over the basic black. However, that is not the case. They were just basically black.
However, they stick fine to the visor, no curled edges to worry about for me. They do the job, cover up the ugly warning stickers and I did not have to deal with trying to peel them off.
So, my bottom line.....cheap....YES. Do they work as advertised?....YES. After a few weeks (months) I no longer even notice them.
I ordered the carbon fiber look overlays, they seemed to be better, and then added the metallic Stingray emblems.
I am happy with the look, and have received many compliments.

Mine look exactly like these and I'm happy with them. I can tell you that you can buy a whole entire roll of that 3M carbon paper for like $14 on Amazon and make your own, though your edges might not look as nice, and you'll still need to get the emblems if you want that.
Mine peeled off quite easily. Just go slow. I then used goo gone to clean up the residue.
This. Can't imagine why you would purchase something to cover up the stickers which are so easily removed. Unless you are intentionally wanting to "dress" that spot up, I guess.

Do you have a picture of what it looks like?
I wasn't aware they could be removed without damaging the fabric?

To each is own. I even purchased the emblems to go on the sticker (I thought it would all be in one unit). Anyway, to me they look cheap and i would never put them on my car.

Ditto.....warmed with hair dryer, peeled off slowly, & wiped area with Goo Gone. After it dried the material looked depressed where the sticker was so I brushed it with a hair brush to raise the fabric & you can't tell it was ever there.

If you want to return the car to the stock look to sell it one day, it's much easier to just peel off the carbon fiber sticker than find and reapply the same ones you just removed. That's why I covered them.

took mine to an auto upholstery shop and he recovered the side with the airbag stickers with matching fabric. looks great.

When I'm used car shopping I never check for that sticker. It's only required on new cars.

I took the labels off of my Stingray, but when I ordered decals for my '05 (way back when), the instructions said that if the edges start to lift up, a glue stick was what I should use.
A few years in, the edges did start to lift, and I bought a glue stick from a craft/fabric store (not elmer's). It did the trick, and I've not had any lifting since then.
