I really don't mind keeping a door open but in the hot summer will be nice when I am loading groceries to open the windows before getting into the car! Then I can close the hatch and raise the windows when the air conditioning gets cool enough!
It was the least I could do to help support communicating making latching easier!

SCP5 is actually $5 off orders over $99, but close enough for me.
Thanks for posting. Ordered up. $129.99 shipped.

Glad they are now available at a discount. I purchased a number of products from southerncarparts.com, good reliable supplier.
I bought my Window Valet 6 weeks ago when they were first available. Solves the hatch latching issue but with the very hot days we have had in SC it also is great to use before getting into a hot car, which is probably why most folks buy them! They are available for many cars, old Vettes included. Very simple install, just plug into the OBD port - no charges to the car or computer. Works great. Made a PDF not for the install but have some 6 pages of info on why it helps those of us with "Air Tight Vettes" latch the hatch with very little force and no need to push to latch and risk paint cracks! May be of interest if your not familiar with the product: http://netwelding.com/Latch_Hatch.pdf

Yes, as long as you use the correct "Lock-Start" procedure. Works with them fully up, down or 1/4 inch indexed.
