Default Seat Adjustment

For the first time my wife was going to drive the Vette. She is about 5 ft tall. The seat would not go high enough for her to see over the wheel where she would be comfortable driving. It was maxed out in the up position but did not seem like it moved that much from the lowest to the highest setting. She did not drive my C6 or C5 but she did drive the C4 with no problems.

Is this normal or could there be something wrong with my power seats ?

My wife is 4' 10" tall. We have a cushion that we keep tucked behind the seats that she uses when she drives. For some reason the C7 touring seat does not seem to have much of an upward adjustment. The strange thing is, on our C5 she could adjust the seat up enough so that she did not need a cushion.

If anyone has any "upward adjustment" secrets we would like to hear them as well.

This sounds like a perfect time to remind her that the car doesn't make her *** look big.

Otherwise, she'd sit up high enough to see over the dash.

My daughter is 4'11" and she had no problem with adjusting the seat to see. We shared the drive back from Maryland to Nevada (3,750 miles) and split the time pretty evenly.

I would suggest holding the front of the front lever down until it has lowered all the way and then hold the back of the front lever up. That should raise it to its maximum height with minimum leg lift.

Without a doubt my C5 and my C6s had a heck of a lot more adjusting ability than my 15 Vert.

I have nothing to add, but you can tell when nephews ride in my car because the passenger seat is all jacked up so the runts can see where we're going.

I think it is, unfortunately, normal. I'm 5'8", and with the rear of the seat all the way up still wish it could go a little higher.

Default Can't fit in this thing!

I've got the opposite problem. I've been itching to order a Z06, but I can't fit in the coupes I've sat in. I'm 6'1", and I have to **** my head over at a 30 deg angle when I sit in the car because it hits the roof. It seems like the seat won't recline enough, the angle is limited even when it is pulled forward. I have C4, C5 and C6 cars which fit me fine, so this took me totally by surprise. Does anybody know whether there are variances in the ride height between the seat options? Anybody experience the limitation in the seat recline angle?

Must have a long torso. I'm 6'2" and I fit perfect with room to spare in my vert or my dad's coupe. Coupe a has less headroom though. Assuming my comfy seating position, I do touch the roof of my dad's coupe if I sit totally upright. (as in trying to touch the roof with my head while sitting down) You can probably recline the seat more if you move the seat forward a little. I also angle the whole seat back a little.

If adjustments do not solve the prob, you could also get a convertible. About 2" or so extra headroom over a coupe.

At the risk of hijacking this thread heres the seat adjusting process that you will need to use to get maximum room.
Trust me I'm 6'4" and have plenty of head room so unless your legs are very short with a very long torso you should be fine. This has been discussed at length here on CF in the early days of the C7.
1: move the seat about half way forward.
2: incline the back to a fairly vertical position.
3: go all the way down front and rear.
4: move the seat all the way back.
5: recline the back rest to the desired angle.

Old story here on the Forum; I am 6'4", 38" arm (shirt sleeve).....the lack of room and the limiting sensor on the recline is bad enough that I cant fit comfortably in the C7......just fine in my C6, but. There are threads on this forum about disconnecting the seat recline limit sensor, but I have not had a chance to try one out with this change. As of now, keeping my trusty C6.
