Default Memorial Weekend

I would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt "Thank You" for all the families who have Veterans, deceased or living, who sacrificed and gave so much for their country. Hug your children, grandchildren, spouses and family. Be thankful we live in this great country.

Please drive carefully where ever you may be traveling and remember that alcohol and these fine cars we drive do not mix.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend. Let us never forget!

Great post...well said.

We would not have the ultimate freedom we do without those who have served. Let us not forget.

This would be a great time to sign up for Wounded Warriors if you have not already done so. There are a great many young soldiers with a long road to recovery. Modern military medicine has saved many lives that a few years ago would have been lost. Those that were saved need a lot of rehab and support. If you are ever in the DC area, stop by the Military Medical Center in Bethesda and visit with some of the recovering soldiers. It is an experience you will never forget.

There are other, much more cost-effecive organizations out there to help theses veterans.

The saddest part of this is that our government is supposed to be taking care of them...and they're not.

These heroes paid a very high price for US. They deserve the best.

Which is why I made the following statement in Post#1.

"I would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt "Thank You" for all the families who have Veterans, deceased or living, who sacrificed and gave so much for their country."

Also, see post #7.
