Default A8 Launch click "noise"

My 2015 A8 has had a click noise when launching from a dead stop since new. I have not been able to diagnose it yet. Anyone else heard this?

Originally thought it was from the rear but, now I'm not so sure.

The clicking noise is from the direct injectors.

I also have the clicking noise coming from the rear of the car. It comes and goes for me. I think its either a lugnut problem or a loose axle nut?

thats what I was thinking also lug nuts because its been reported here before. it sounds like something is moving under load that shouldn't be moving.

I've checked lug nut torques and they are to spec.

Went to my Dealer about a week ago and they checked the axle to hub torques which had no effect on the noise. Today the engineer that I work with and I put it up on hoist and were able to duplicate the "click". It is definitely coming from the transmission. Back to the Dealer next week.
